God is Spirit and Spirit is everywhere. Just take a look around . God makes his presence known to all who look for him. Many refuse to recognize or acknowledge God. It is their loss.

I have a theory that the idea of God was created to explain the things that the human mind could not possibly be able to comprehend (i.e. Where we come from, how we got here, etc.). The only problem with this theory is that, as backwards as organized religion seems to be to some, the alternative is even more bleak. Its easy for an Atheist to say that after Life we cease to exist, but has anyone actually thought about what it would be like to no longer exist? This means that you are no longer aware, nor is anyone else aware of you. Somehow, even this idea seems a little far-fetched.

You have several questions packed together here. My God, to the extent I consider a singular rather than a plural, is a very abstract, esoteric concept of The One. Mostly, I see a pantheon of gods and goddesses as more useful to illustrate the truth of human condition, of what we need to get on in life. But I recognize them as metaphors, symbols, archetypes. Not to be taken literally.

I suppose if I had to choose one, and the one was male (God, not Goddess), I'd say Ra, the sun god. It is a fact that all life, all energy, all light and heat on the earth come from the sun. So if you want to worship the Giver of Life, that's Ra.

He's the one god
The sun god
A fun god
Ra! Ra! Ra!

I am Pagan and yes, God/dess is everywhere, is everything. I have only recently turned from organised religion and so have come very recently to this understanding. Now I am able to make sense of my life and the world around me. Religion makes God small and She cannot be contained or restricted. He is the Energy of all Life.

dude we all have our different religious beliefs. im catholic, i believe in the one true GOD. some ppl dont belive in HImcuz theres still war, violence, poverty, oppression.. going on in the world today and ppl wonder "why is there so much hatred in this world and GOD does nothing about it? then theres must b no GOD" this is not true. GOD is a spirit, a powerful spirit. it is not our business to wonder where he came from or how he created us and our environment. GOD does exists and he is everywhere. he has angels that live among us and they like "give reports about us 2 GOD". GOd is almighty and powerful, never understimate his power. he will indeed help u, not physically or right away, but pray with true devotion and he will help u..at least mentally. in fact GOD is looking at me right now writing this.. we cant hide from him or run.

God is everywhere and knows everything and controls everything. This is hard for people that don't know him to understand, but it is true. One day ALL will know. If you are so sure of yourself why are you so worried about it and us that believe. There is no harm in us believing....we are not hurting anybody. God gave free will, so you are free to reject.

My god is me. I'm the one who ultimately "makes me realize" the things I don't know, I am the one ultimately responsible for my actions and future, and I am my own redeemer. It is the human identity of the self (ego) that created notions of deity in the first place. Of course, I don't kid myself into thinking that I'm everybody else's god too. I'll leave that mentality to the hopeless western monotheists.

God is in everything, of everything, He is the air, the substance of all, He is The Creator. He watches to see if you are going to be in His Image, to understand who He Is. To be who you are suppose to be.
