In the beginning of the U.S.A's history, immigrants could not wait to live here so they could share their beliefs, languages and cultures. Thats why it was named the "melting pot".
Nowadays, most immigrants move here wanting to keep to their own ways and dont want anyone telling them what to do yet they demand respect. Dont they realize a host country cant give respect w/o having some shown?

This is the true test of who should and should not be allowed to stay in the country. The real reason people don't want to naturalize is because they are still loyal to their country of origin and are not interested in becoming a U.S. Citizen. They will have children who are U.S. Citizens because that furthers their non-militant takeover. Illegal immigrants' children are today's trojan horse. Why do you think 55% of the birth rate in the USA is to Hispanics and the majority of them are to illegal immigrants?

Legal immigrants do want to become a US citizens but you have to wait a number of years to do so, that is after getting the green card

These are not 'immigrants' in any real sense of the word.

They are mercenaries invited by US corporations to break the backs of US labor practices and wage controls.

They jeer at our citizenry, our values of respect for the individual and government by the people. They want to make dollars, exploit social services, and keep their loyalties, language and love reserved for elsewhere.

To them, we don't exist as a 'country' or a 'people' but simply as an asset to be milked for money.

It's a lot better if people stay at home and help to better their own country, The US should get out of international policing that keeps people poor worldwide and begin helping other nations support their own people so that they don't feel obligated to come here and behave like somebody owes them something.

For example, the US is now getting lots of visa requests and illegal immigrants from war-torn Iraq. Why? Perhaps because the US went over there, destroyed the infrastructure, destabilized the economy and security of the region, and took over their oil. Now, the place is a cesspool.

So when you see Iraqi immigrants, and they aren't caring about learning English, and don't want to adopt US customs, and only are interested in social services, healthcare and money they can send back home, don't be surprised.

Do you think The Shakers, The Quakers ... have given up their cultural tradition when they came to the USA? NO! So there are always people who want to hang-on to their cultures.
I believe it's good if they were to learn the language and culture of their host country so that it can go easy for both them and their adoptive country.

The immigrants from before came from countries that were much closer culturally to ours. Exporting masses of third worlders into industrialized first world countries isn't doing any favors for anybody.

It sucks to say it but the government is catering to them. They are catering to illegal Spanish speaking immigrants so they can continue using them for slave labor. Its a shame because they don't see what is happening to our cities. I'm starting to question if crime is part of there culture.

Why do immigrants have to give up their culture or roots because they have moved to a new country? Immigrants do naturalize- Everybody deserves respect - whether they keep their own ways or not...

They do want to naturalise & they DO naturalise.

Every year it gets tougher to live in this country, without being a US citizen.

But sure, they keep their old culture - so did the early European settlers.

Because the image of the US and the laws we have are of freedom and tolerance. So they can do whatever they hell they want basically just as long as they obey the rules.
