Assuming there was no R&S and you had never encountered them here. Like if you met them at a party or a bar...or a library or church or bookstore or wherever you hang out.

Sure, several in fact - and of all faith backgrounds etc. etc. and so on. I've always had a pretty diverse group of friends anyway.

Definitely!!

I'd love to have a get together with a lot of the people on here.

I think my ideal dinner party from R&S would have some of the brightest and most creative minds on this forum. I won't list their names, because I would hate to leave someone out.

I wonder, if we could have a REAL get together, would it be possible to resolve some of the biggest debates we have on here? Probably not, but it sure would make for an interesting evening!!

Probably not. I'm not a "people" person in real life. I tend to shy away from contact with people altogether. There are some interesting people in here, though. Maybe. possibly.

But I doubt it.

In real life, people irritate me whether they're believers or not. It's much better this way. No- I'm not deformed or anything like that (In real life, I bear a resemblance to the avatar I chose, just with more gray hair.)

I'm civil and friendly towards people; I just get uncomfortable around strange people. Hell, even the people I do know and love irritate me.

Definitely! There's a pretty cool guy on here and I know we'd hit it off if I had met him elsewhere. I love meeting new people and I'll never turn down an opportunity to talk about religion with another educated person (Christian or other).

Absolutely. Really, with just how anonymous you're allowed to be on the Internet... who says I'm NOT friends in real life with some of them?

I have made many pen pals here, and love them all! It really doesn't matter what their faith is. Fascinating people. With good hearts, too, most of them.

My 360 contacts keep life amusing!

I think I would definitely be friends with most (if not all) of my contacts here on R&S. When I add someone to my contacts, it is because I find them interesting. I've made some great friends here on R&S from lots of different faiths.

I think so. Those who are of a similar belief system to my own (neo-pagan, Wicca, something like that), or not enough different to make them unable to communicate effectively (Hindu, Buddhist, something like that), would probably make good friends. I have even been friends with some pretty straight Christians, as long as they are tolerant.

i think i would, but i also think we wouldn't talk quite as much about religion in real life as we do on this site. i'm always open to it, but in general, people just don't talk about these things in the real world as much as they do here. at least i don't, anyway. i'd drive everyone nuts if i did. of course, if we met at a church, it would be different.

Some yes. I've talked with some interesting people out here.

I'd drink every last one of them under the table though.
