The Canadian Military is proving themselves a capable, well trained force and valuable ally in the War on Terror. I'm proud to call the brothers.

For the successes of our military, the goals and methods of the enemy and why this war is critical, see my blog:

MARK: This is the ENGLISH speaking MILITARY room. Our allies are allowed to post in here as well. It has nothing to do with nationality, only the subject matter in the proper language.

I think it's awful. Anybody dying for the lies and deception put forth by my idiotic President, and PMBlair to justify this illegal war and one that so many other countries were bullied into joining, is a horrible, horrible mistake.

The theory was wrong, the policies misdirected, the invasion illegal, the occupation immoral and an absolute failure. They buy time with half-truths distorted and magnified into absolute truth and deny the truth with the lenses of irrational and immorality at the cost of human lives, Canadian included.

Meanwhile, so-called "terrorism" has done its work and will continue to do so in the U.S. and the oh-so timid, led-by-the-nose, Western Countries who don't know enough to realize that more people are killed and injured by drowning and swimming accidents than all of the terrorists in the entire world put together.

We have far more to fear because of our own leaders than we do from any terrorist organization foreign or domestic. Period.

Were any Canadians at the World Trade Center 9/11/01...
Was Canada's economy unstaved by the terrorist attack?
I may be wrong, but I thought every freedom loving country
on the globe felt ripples of that day in terms of human loss
and economy damage....Canadians are a great people
who love their freedom and are proud of their robust
economy...therefore, I believe Canada will rise to the
occasion to protect these values...no one wants their
soldiers to die in Afghanistan or anywhere else..yet the
cost is often more than we want pay and still must pay.
It would be my desire all wars would end and no one
would ever have to die in war again...Of course, this is
only wishful thinking....I love my freedom and every person
fighting for it is my hero, no matter what country this
person calls home. Thank you Canada.

There are Canadians here as well.

I am proud that they served and sad that they died. I hope and trust that in dying, they make Afganistan a better place.

Freedom isn't free and right now we have to pay the price for the next generation of Afganis. The next set of generations of Afgani girls and women who will now get the chance to read, make thier own choices in life, and start on the path to being recognized as equals of the men - will be grateful for thier sacrifice.

I appreciate the involvment of the Canadian military in what should be a global war against terrorists. In any armed conflict there will be casualties. If Canada ahs an all volunteer military as the US does, then theirs is the greatest sacrifice one can make to give another a chance to live in peace.

We all will die. The choice is 1) to die fighting for liberty (even if it is for someone else),or 2) to die a coward, quivering in fear, hoping that the terrorists will spare you.

Canadian soldiers are dying to support US control over the oil pipe line and uninterrupted supply of oil to them.
The sooner the people of Canada understand the hidden agenda of USA the better it is for that country.

Our world has been warring since time began.
But this is a new millennium. We shouldn't even have to HAVE wars anymore.......NO soldiers should be dying anywhere, be they Canadian, American or any other nationality! We should be able to get along with each other, or at least tolerate our differences enough so we don't have to fight with each other. I'M TIRED OF IT! Completely and totally!

So........EVERYBODY, just STOP IT!!!

I think they died like what soldiers typically do in war. I mean its war people get killed. They knew the risks when they signed up, so they died like soldiers and will be remembered as such. Theres no greater glory a man can receive.
