It isn't true. People got the idea that we worshipped Satan from an image they saw of Pan. Am I right? So why don't people actually try to learn about other religions any more?

From Pan and the Celtic Horned God and a number of other horned and hooved deities in various European Pagan traditions yes.

Not ALL Christians hate us.Some do take the time to learn about us and what we believe, and the ideas of ours that were stolen to form a part of their own religion and then respect our religious views even though they don't share them.I know many Christians like this-the best example as far as I'm concerned being my Mum.

The Christian fundamentalists who hate us and say we're evil and worship Satan are almost always totally uneducated about Pagan beliefs and just base what they say on what their far-right priest says.

It's a misconception that's been carried on for thousands of years; they're just lies made up by the Church at the birth of Christianity. At that time, most people were Pagan, so they took fact and twisted it so that people would be turned off from Paganism and want to be Christian. What you said was true, they either read about or saw an image of the Horned God, and somehow related it to Satan. I just think it's hilarious how a lot of Christians still believe the Satan worship bullshit after all these years and all that has been proven wrong by the real Pagans. It's pretty sad, actually.

i think of many human beings basically do no longer do sufficient interpreting (of something besides the bible), or self sufficient thinking. Satanists and devil worshippers are Christians, in essence. devil does not exist outdoors of Christianity -- the devil is the Church's very own invention. Satanists only turn Christianity the different way up -- they are nevertheless reacting to it. Wiccans and Pagans are honoring gods and energies that are a methods older than the Christian god. They revere Nature. Nature is the closest ingredient of fact we can ever understand.

The reason for this is that many people have been conditioned since early childishness that the only God that exists is the one outlined in the bible and this is not the case and many Christians are in for a very painful awakening when the World Teacher comes to awaken us all to the real nature of deity and the brotherhood of all men a living reality. Many people are now beginning to realize this fact for themselves no matter what religion one may be from.We all share this same divinity and it makes us all one in spirit and truth and is what the World Teacher will help us realize ,for He is the elder brother of the human evolution and is about to come forward and declare him self to the people of the world.

Because they may have a point. Jesus talked to a woman in John 4 who was a Samaritan. They thought that they were worshiping God. But what did he tell her?
22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews.

Now Jesus didn't say it was the devil, but it wasn't God either. I take what Christians say about pagans worshiping the devil with a grain of salt. They might be overplaying it a bit. But what pagans do not worship is the Most High God. They have no peace with God. That's why Heaven is dissonant to them when they dream about it. They become confused and dizzy. It's because they have no peace with God, and therefore do not have a place there. Their 'vibe' is off.

Because the Roman Catholic church during their early years carefully warped and twisted the native pagan religions of Europe. They invented the devil, for example, with goat head and hooves and the rest to look like Pan, Cernunnos and the other nature gods; They tore down the old pagan shrines and temples and built their own over them; They gave us semi-divine Mary instead of the Mother Goddess, etc. All propaganda!

In it's most fundamental sense Christianity dictates, thou shall have no other God before me, and you cannot serve two masters.

So, if you aren't worhipping the one and only true God, you are worshipping the other, whether or not you call him satan, the devil, etc. doesn't matter -- to the Christian, if it's not God it's of the devil or satan -- period.

This is just the way Christians see this.

Because alot of Christians refuse to actually research what they are criticizing. They just take what they hear from other Christians (who usually don't know what they're talking about either) and don't bother to learn more before they try to criticize someone or convert them. It's all word of mouth. By the way i'm not saying that all Christians are like this i'm just saying that most of them are. Haha. And i'm also not saying that the Christians who say this are wrong either.

They think the same of atheists.
To them, if you are not worshiping god, you are a devil worshiper. If they just took the time to understand that they might be better people and not make rude comments.

Pagan generally means non-believer. It doesn't mean worship Satan or anything, though many pagans tend to in some form, but that does not mean ALL. And besides, why are you getting all riled up over a fictional fantasy film that of Pan? It is the word to use for non-believers. And in a whole, non-believer is that not of God, so altogether meaning they turned away from God just as Satan wants. Satan will trick everyone into believing that something is great and good. He is a liar, trickster and deceiver. And he will create a holy church to take it away from God, make no mistake about it.
