You can either -
1) Marry or get engaged to (and then marry w/i 90 days) a US Citizen who can then sponsor you and you can apply for an Employment Authorization card
2) Be accepted to a US college or University and enter on a Student visa
3) Be offered a job in the US and have your company sponsor you on an H-1 visa..... but you need to be in some field like investment baning, medicine, etc. McDonald's or the Gap are not going to sponsor you.

You typically can't just move here on your own and get work authorization. Go to the US State Dept. website and look for the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services for more details

A degree, a job from an employer that has jobs in the U.S. and a classification that's listed in the NAFTA professions. Then at the border you'll get your TN visa (30 minutes tops). You can then start working.
