I need help wondering what i can do about an awol charge, disobeying an order, and impersonating an nco. They all have a dishonorable discharge, and forfetuire of all pay and time in jail. Is there a way i can just get the dishonorable discharge and be done?

The AWOL charge is the least of your problems. Impersonating the NCO is going to be the biggest of the bunch. Be sure you have a good lawyer, but unfortunately you have hit the triple crown and there is very little chance of avoiding the jail time. Even with a dishonrable discharge, it will not "be done" as there will be reprecussions from this the rest of your life.

A dishonorable discharge can only be awarded as punishment from a General Court-Martial. You can discuss with your defense counsel the possibility of pleading guilty to lesser included offenses (AWOL instead of desertion, e.g.) which carry a maximum punishment of a dishonorable discharge, without imprisonment or forfeiture of pays and allowances. The trouble is that unauthorized absence, including failure to go to one's appointed place of duty, is an offense which has a documented paper trail as a method of proof. It''s what trial counsels call a "slam dunk".
The convening authority of the court-martial can also reduce or commute part of the sentence as well. Just hope it is not his order that you disobeyed.

Tony--- you have to return to your base. For charges and a trial. Return on your own steam. Today is a good day. Take a bus -- you will not need a car.. Have friend drop you off...

Request it with your lawyer.
What's so bad that you had to do all of that?
