What do you think if your driver goes to Yota next season, along w/ Hamlin and Kyle Busch? Would you still root for him? Buy his merchandise? Wear his T-Shirts?

Be serious.. I know I'd have huge issues if Hendrick just up and swapped to Toyota.

It wouldn't matter, he is one of the best drivers going, due to his extensive dirt track experience. Dirt tracks teach you to drive without rubbin. I wish he would stop racing those taxi cabs. it is boring and tooooooo long. All the best drivers have dirt experience. Want to see real racing support your local dirt track. Wingless sprints rule!

I'm not a fan of Toyota in Nascar, but I don't care if Gibbs moves to Toyota. I'd actually like see them wait until Toyota gets their act together, maybe last week showed that they did, who knows. I'll root for the driver, not the manufacturer. I think Gibbs is different then teams like Hendrick and Roush where it's not linked to a certain manufacturer.

I actually gained respect for Stewart in the Daytona 24 Hours a few years ago when he drove in the middle of the night in the downpour, and then drove the car at the end of the race when it had a broken suspension and had 3 wheels touching the track. So for me it's the driver, not the car.

I'll be honest - I've been having misgivings and thinking about this ever since it was mentioned that JGR might go to Toyota. I'm a Chevy girl.

On the one hand, Tony used to drive a Pontiac, so it's not like he's always been in a Chevy. On the other, at least Pontiac is an American nameplate. On the third hand, considering the amount of work that the US automakers have been outsourcing to other countries (the Ford Fusion is assembled in Mexico, for example), does "American Made" mean anything beyond an ideal anymore?

It's a bridge I'm going to have to burn when we get to it. I think my loyalty to Tony may be stronger than my loyalty to Chevy, but I don't know for sure.

I have issues with switching from Chevrolet to Toyota. This is my 16th year being and avid fan and I have always been rooting for my Chevys. He!!, I even drive them. GM all the way.

I can always support Tony no matter what he drives. Not his team though. I hope this turns out to be a good decision for all involved because I do not have a good feeling about it at all.
Tony and Denny are my biggest concerns. In a huge way.

I like Tony, but pulling for toyota would be a major issue, I lost 2 uncles thanks to japan in the war.. I've heard Michael Waltrip talk about how many people in this country toyota employs, but I would have a problem..I would still like Tony but not the car.....I'd croak if Dale Jr ever got in a toyota...Just the thought of that makes me ill...I'm 100% chevy fan..

lets see, WWII? Who did we fight in that War? Just Japan? Oh, weren't the Germans there too?

So you hate Toyota because of Japan's involvement? But do you love DaimlerChrysler because it was a German Company?

I am a fan of JGR, and have been since Tony joined in 1999, driving a Pontiac. Chevy has a stranglehold on Nascar, and it is time someone broke it besides occasionally by Ford. 5 straight years?

I will support JGR more if they do go Toyota.

Well, First off I "boo" Joe Gibbs Racing for doing this to fans, NASCAR, and everyone else that gives a hoot. I can't believe Tony, Denny, or Kyle don't care that they may be in a Toyota compared to a Class-A car like the one GM makes.. But then again.. No one ever thought the golden child would be signed on @ HMS for 08'

I really don't believe Tony would go with Gibbs and the team to Toyota. I think he would stay in a chevy, but if he did I would still root for him
PS: I drive a Toyota Tundra

I will always be a Tony fan no matter what. I root for him, not the car he drives. I would prefer JGR to stay with Chevy, but if they go to Toyota then so be it. I will still be a fan.

I'm OK with it. I'm a Tony Stewart fan because of Tony Stewart. He will still be the same guy no matter what car he drives so I will still support him.
