I need a big glass container. I don't want to go to Costco and buy a huge thing of pickles (we don't eat that many pickles)...Does any one know where I can find an empty one?

Try your local thrift store.

You could try freecycle.org. But that's a long shot. Go to any restaurant that serves pickles or olives and ask when they throw them out and could they save one for you. That's your best bet. I'd gladly give away stuff like that if it normally would have ended up in the trash. Saves room in the garbage bin!

Go to a busy deli and ask them if they have one or if they could save them for you. Go check there recycled glass barrel out back and see if they threw one away. Ash any cook you know if they can get one for you.

Are you making a squirrel feeder?

You might look at antique malls or call around to some restaurants. Or perhaps ebay?
