I have gotten several calls from old friends letting me know, he even went to bar we all hung out at?! We were not together when I was in law enforcement, this was over 10 yrs ago! Caling on friends or aquaintences is not specifically a crime. He is looking for "dirt" that he can use against you in divorce proceedings. I doubt that he will get much from your colleaques and friends that would be useful to him in court. Your employment records are confidential, as are any medical records. Even a spouse may not see most official records without written permission. Whatver happened before you were married would not be important to the case at hand anyway.

i cant believe that if you were in law enforcement you would not know the answer to your own question!?!?! YES its absolutely a crime! He is stalking you! You need to get a restraining order right away, and if he doesnt honor that, he could even go to prison!

GET A RESTRAINING ORDER. Tell your co-works not to take his calls. You are in Law Enforcement. You can do this and have the resources to.

Consider a restraining order and get your concealed carry permit and level 2-A body armor in case he decides to go postal and kill you.
