I can't give you the whole answer on this because I am not Catholic, but there is a verse in the Bible that states that wasting the man's sperm (seed) is a bad thing, which condoms does.

The act of sex is intrinsically two-fold: both unifying (pleasure) and procreative. God, the Creator, gave humans the privilege of participating in creation through the creation of new human life via sex. We should look at it as a privilege, not a problem.

The problem with artificial birth control is that it separates the two-fold nature of sex and allows people to indulge only in the pleasure part while openly and actively rejecting the privilege and responsibility of sharing in God's creative nature. Therefore, it separates us from God.

Furthermore, it's not even necessary. God, in His wisdom, made women cyclical. We can't get pregnant every day of the month. For most women, there is only a 72-hour window of conception on average. Also, God, in His wisdom, gave women signs that they are ovulating, so it's possible for each woman to very easily track her own personal signs of ovulation and determine when conception is possible. Therefore, couples can responsibly plan pregnancies according to when they can afford to receive another child (financially, physically, emotionally, etc.).

Pill: Allows conception, forces purge
Subdermal implants: Allows conception, forces purge

In fact, every system but barrier systems allow conception, but force the purging of any conceived life. This is tantimount to premeditated murder.

Of course, I'm not Catholic myself (ex-Catholic though), and am all about barrier methods (since they prevent conception when they work) but sometimes these things should be taken for the moral, not religious, issue they are.

"God" isn't bothered by anything: it's people and power structures that are bothered by women taking control of their fertility and sexuality.

By the way, conception is a process, not a moment.

Realistically? Because they don't like the idea of people having sex because they enjoy it. It should, in the view of the Church, be for procreation only.
