You don't get married and then divorced because he loses his job! Marriage is about love and sticking together no matter what.

Money has nothing to do with being in a marriage. Yea I guess it can be hard times if there is little income coming into the household, but if the love and compassion is there then two people who are truely in love will get through it. For better or for worse. Hope I was of some help to you.

If someone is fickle enough to marry a man because he has money, she is probably willing to get rid of him when he loses it. I give it a couple months before she can't tolerate it anymore. When she is gone, tell yourself this: "I am a good person no matter what, and I don't want to be with a woman who was with me just because I had money. I deserve true love from someone better than that." Then, eat lots of ice cream. It helps.

i broke up with a guy who claimed he was financially stable and even told me he was going to buy a second home (when he didn't even pay his own mortgage!?)

it wasn't about the fact he was struggling financially, it was about the LIES.

i was up front with him about my life and situation when we decided to do more than just date... but because of his lies, i had some BIG suprises in store, believe me.

if i were with someone who was financially stable and they were laide off, and we had plans, goals and amibition... well, i'd do everything i could to help. i wouldnt' leave because of a lay off.

take care.

The better question would have been "would you have married him had he not been financially stable". It says the same thing about the person answering but no one 'thinks' they're the type of person in your scenario.

Yes. If you love someone than that shouldn't matter. However, I would get upset if I felt as if they didn't get another job in a reasonable amount of time. If I knew that they were trying, then I would be supportive and understanding though.
