Homosexuality is forbidden in Islam becuase it defies the laws of nature and of God. God made women for men and men for women. Not men for men and women for women. It has to do with when Adam(PBUH*) and Eve were sent to Earth after they were kicked out of the garden of Eden which is in Jinnah(Heaven) then God told Adam(PBUH*) and Eve to multiply and fill the Earth. Two men can not have sex and make babies and two women can not have sex and make babies. Refrences from the Qur'an and Hadith about homosexuality:
Sura 4:20-21: "Against those of your women who commit adultery, call witnesses four in number from among yourselves; and if these bear witness, then keep the women in houses until death release them, or God shall make for them a way. And if two (men) of you commit it, then hurt them both; but if they turn again and amend, leave them alone, verily, God is easily turned, compassionate."
Sura 7:80-84: "And Lot, when he said to his people, 'Do ye approach an abomination which no one in all the world ever anticipated you in? Verily, ye approach men with lust rather than women- nay, ye are a people who exceed.' But his people's answer only was to say, 'Turn them out of your village, verily, they are a people who pretend to purity.' But we saved him and his people, except his wife, who was of those who lingered; and we rained down upon them a rain; -- see then how was the end of the sinners!"
Sura 11:78-81: "And his people came to him, rushing at him, for before that they used to work evil. He 'Said, 'O my people! here are my daughters, they are purer for you; then, fear God, and do not disgrace me through my guests;- is there not among you one right-thinking man?' They said, 'Thou knowest that we have no claim on thy daughters; verily, thou knowest what we want!' He said, 'Had I but power over you; or could I but resort to some strong column....!' [The angels] said, 'O Lot! verily, we are the messengers of thy Lord, they shall certainly not reach thee; then travel with thy people in the darkness of the night, and let none of you look round except thy wife: verily, there shall befall her what befalls them. Verily, their appointment is for the morning! and is not the morning nigh'?"
Sura 26: 162-168: "[Lot said] 'Verily, I am to you a faithful apostle; then fear God and obey me. I do not ask you for it any hire; my hire is only with the Lord of the worlds. Do ye approach males of all the world and leave what God your Lord has created for you of your wives? nay, but ye are people who transgress!' They said, 'Surely, if thou dost not desist, O Lot! thou shalt be of those who are expelled!' Said he, 'Verily, I am of those who hate your deed."
Sura 27: 55-57 and Sura 29: 28-31: "And (remember) Lot when he said to his people, 'Verily, ye approach an abomination which no one in all the world ever anticipated you in! What! do ye approach men? and stop folks on the highway? And approach in your assembly sin?' but the answer of his people was only to say, 'Bring us God's torment, if thou art of those who speak the truth!' Said he, 'My Lord! help me against a people who do evil!' And when our messengers came to Abraham with the glad tidings, they said, 'We are about to destroy the people of this city. Verily, the people thereof are wrong-doers'."
Hadiths about homosexuality:
"Homosexuality, moreover, is an abomination and a grave sin. In Hadith, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarifies the gravity of this abomination by saying: "Allah curses the one who does the actions (homosexual practices) of the people of Lut." repeating it three times; and he said in another Hadith: "If a man comes upon a man then they are both adulterers." Here, he considered homosexuality tantamount to adultery in relation to the Shari’ah punishments because it is an abomination on the one hand and the definition of adultery applies to it on the other hand.....As for lesbians, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said about them: 'If a woman comes upon a woman, they are both Adulteresses'."
"When a man mounts another man, the throne of God shakes."
"Kill the one that is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to."
"Sihaq (lesbian sexual activity) of women is zina (illegitimate sexual intercourse) among them."

Blah, blah, blah. Every holy book has some beautiful phrases. In the case of Quran it didn't stop Muslims from (short list from memory) Killing athletes at the Munich Olympics Throwing a cripple off a cruise ship Bombing Pizza joints, hotels, buses, and other public places around the world Flying wide body planes into sky scrapers Blowing up rival islamic sects mosques As I said that is the short list from memory. If I bothered to look up all of it I wouldn't have room.

So in Islam, if one man rapes another, the victim also dies?
And why would you need more verses about Lot, when he's already dealt with in the Bible? And why does Muhammed always have to embellish? He should have spent a little more time with the Torah, at least made some attempt to imitate the style, so it wasn't so obvious that the koran was not inspired by the God of Abraham.

There is an allusion about homosexuality in the Qur'an in the Story of Prophet Lut AS.
It tells how the whole community practice homosexuality as an accepted social order. But since this culture is somewhat against the NATURAL ORDER of things, it leads them to transgression and untold hurt (men prefering to have coitus with men leaving the women behind, sexual perversion etc..). In the story, I got the impression that unbriddled sexual passion destroys family and community harmony( a proven fact even in "advance?" society like ours. Watch crimes of passion series on TV).
Imagine combining unbriddled sexual passion without religious/moral orientation and unnatural relationship.
We dont have to be a rocket scientist to realize what will happen to our society.
But not all people in this planet concern themselves about the future of humanity. 90% of us are only concern about sex.
Lets not include the phenomenon of AIDS my respected brother. If we factor this, then it will be holocaust soon.
Hope this will add light. Thanks
I am very intelligent and I dont intend to argue. YOU KNOW BETTER OF COURSE!

Good question. But the fact is that it is forbidden, together with many other things. It doesn't matter whether they are in the Koran or not.
I have the feeling that islams do not have a bureaucratic mentality

Lot (PBUH) speaking out against it by rebuking the men for wanting to be with men and the Angels destroying Soddom and Gommorah by the will of Allah (SWT).
Plus, men aren't to display themselves or view another man's private area.

Homosexually is unnatural and very bad sin according to teachings of God in Quran. God hates homosexuals. Read story of Prophet Lut (Laat) in Quran. You might find same story in Torah and Bible. Most of men in the city where Lut lived and preached as Prophet of God were homosexuals and didn't want to sleep with women. Finally Allah sent two Angels as beautiful young men in the city. They asked some one the address of Prophet Lut. They were being lead towards the house of Prophet Lut. On the way number of people kept increasing who were following these handsome men (Angels). When they arrived at the house of Prophet Lut. He let them in his house as guests and closed the door. His wife was not of a good moral character. She informed secretly to many men who would be interested in homosexuality with the handsome guests in her house. Soon large number of men were knocking the door saying O Lut, let us have the beautiful guests of yours. Prophet Lut warned them of the great punishment of God for what they wished to do with his guests. Lut asked his guests who they were and where they came from. They told him that they are Angels sent by God to destroy your city and to kill all its residents. They also said You don't worry about us. No one can touch us. Angeles instructed Prophet Lut to escape from his house with his family in the late night hours running fast and not to look back what we will be doinng to your people. Prophet Lut and his two daughters ran as were told but his wife disobeyed the angels and looked back while city was being destroyed. Immediately she was turned into a statue of stone.
This story that God himself tells us in Quran is to warn us that Allah does not like the homosexuality and may punish us like he did to the people of Prophet Lut. I am sure Allah has revealed this story to Moses in Torah or Jesus in Bible. You might find it, if you look into these divine books.
Unfortunately more and more Muslims and non-Muslims do not believe on these divine books and involve themselves in immoral acts they desire to do and even doing marriages between two men and two women without having any fear of God. Certainly those who believe and live their lives according to the teachings of Quran, Bible and Torah do not involve in homosexuality. But those who never worship God and beleive that since Jesus has sacrified his life for all the sins of future Christians, they all will enter in Paradise regardless of their sins in this life as long as they beleive on Jesus to be the son of God. God is not unjust and will not give paradise who rebel against His commands and live sinful life without any remorse.
As per Quran and teachings of Islam this is a mere wishful thinking. God will punish or reward all the people based on their deeds in this life regardless of what religion they follow including Jews, Christians, Muslims and atheists etc.
Unfortunately lots of Muslims are also in wishful thinking that their Prophet Mohammad will save them from the wrath of God on the Day of Judgement regardless of their sins and severe crimes. They also committ lots of serious sins like murder, rap, lying, cheating, stealing and all kinds of fraudulent acts in their life and get away being punished by paying bribes to authorities. Hardly 10% of Muslims worship God though they are required to worship God five times a day. Great majority of them who perform Haj after their middle age believe that all sins of their entire life are now forgiven and start repeating the same sins all over again after they return to their country.
God forgives sins only when a person begs sincerely for forgiveness and promises never to do commit sins again. Yes God says that He forgives sins over and over when believers asks for forgiveness. But when they make it a habit and think they are deceiving God, then they live in wishful thinking. God knows what they hold in their hearts and minds every second of their lives. They deceive themsleves and not God. When a sinful act of a believer like bribery and cruelty to women in Muslim world becomes his daily routine without any fear of God, it will be enough for him to burn in hell for ever and ever.
Quran is full of what I have written above. I am older person and can not possibly remember to quote exact Surahs and Ayahs where I have read. It is a common knowledge of all Muslims. I do not think any Muslim will disagree with me.
