I saw a firefly (bee) man entity once. It was at a sacred hot springs.close to midnight and pitch black.
I was about 18 and decided to sit in the cold out of the pools until I saw a 'sign' a vision something mystical....I was beside a creek (it was winter).
I would guess a half hour went by before the river began to resemble giggles....then laughter ...then belly rumbling joy
I don't know for sure but I think it was then that I opened my eyes. Right in front of me was a small firefly type creature with a belly of glowing liquid amethyst, a smiling face not unlike a the Buddha, and wings.
I didn't rule out the possibility I was merely experiencing hypothermia =)
It wasn't until two years ago while looking at North America Aboriginal art on the internet that I came across a painting of the little guy.See the following link

Fireflies, dainty little creatures that they are, fill our summer nights with twinkling lights. Children shriek with delight as they chase them about. It's a game they have played throughout the years!
I noticed one summer night, recently, that the ancestors of the fireflies I chased, were tempting me once again! I chose to sit on my porch and watch them race about....beautiful, so silent...*twinkle, twinkle*.
Some things never change.
