The Privacy Act prohibits you from being able to obtain those records, so you'll either have to ask him or get in touch with the ex. As for me; anyone that got a Big Chicken Dinner (BCD) isn't worth your time; so go ahead and divorce him now. Who knows what else he's hiding.

YOu have no chance at getting those records. Wives need a power of attorney to access spouse's records or a court order without the spouse's permission. These are tough to get. As you were not his spouse at the time the issue occured, there is very little chance for being granted the court order and the military will not recognize you as having any rights to the information at all. If you decide to divorce, you may be able to have your lawyer attempt to access the records, but only if they have a direct impact on your divorce, I would say that unless your husband is willing to explain, you will more than likely never know.

No, there is no way you can get it due the Privacy Act. There are a few other ways that cost some money and require sneaking behind his back to find out the information you are after. The number 1 thing would be place and time that he received the court martial.....BUT the best thing for you to do would be to confront him. Tell him your feelings up front and how you found out. Try and give him the opportunity to tell you the reason up front...if he side steps it tell him how you found out.

Why are you getting worried? Isn't that his alternative, whether or not to misinform her??? You can inform her the reality, however displaying her bureaucracy makes it appear like you are going from your option to make matters dangerous for him. He sounds a little bit volatile, so if he unearths out, dont you fear somewhat that he would possibly cross once you with a crowbar?

I would think that those were his personal records and you would not be able to have access to them.
Whatever it was happened in his past, long before you were in the picture, and I would not pry into it.

you can't. Privacy Act prohibits you from getting them. If he won't tell you, you have no legal way of finding out.
