I have wanted to ask this guy out for about a year now, and he makes little hints to me that he is interested in me too, but I know he is very shy and I just don't think he will anytime soon, so I want to jump start it already and ask him out, but he is a customer of mine and I don't know if it is right or not? What if he really isn't interested in me, would it ruin our work relationship? Could my boss tell me I cannot see him if she found out?

Don't date where you work. That includes clients. It's too messy when it doesn't work out, and sometimes, you lose a boyfriend, and your employer loses a client and blames you.
However, if you have a good relationship with your boss, why not just ask her what she thinks? Remember that her first concern may be not to lose business, but if he's a marginal client, she may not make a fuss.

There is absolutely nothing wrong. Grab him at the right timing. If he doesn't reciprocate, well at least you tried. I think there is no law which was pass about saying "don't fall for a customer".... right? And besides nothing to fear if you lost a customer, there are lots of them maybe much better client.

I work in an office building.. a girl that worked in the Cafe asked me out. I turned her down as I was dating someone at the time, but we still remained professional.
I say go for it. Life is too short to spend it wondering what might have happened.

I don't see a problem with it, only if you were to break up and it would affect your work relationship after that. If you really think that he is in to you then I would say go for it.

Go for it. Just be prepared for a possible negative reaction from your boss. I have seen people terminated for dating clients.

Well Its not ethical but if you think youve got a shot all I can say is dont mess up! If you do you will be losing a boyfriend and a customer! More if he spreads the word.

It's perfectly fine unless your working for national security and if your boss says anything it is illegal and none of her bussiness unless you bring him to work with you and slack off at work, so go blow his mind sexy
