Hi, reading a book that I think is supposed to be set in London, and some of the phrases/words are just so not what I am used to...
Just want to know what it means when they say, "She went in the tube to Hatchards to buy books."
What is a tube?? Is that a bus??
Please clarify..thanks!!

Ha ha Brad...yes, that would make reading this book so much easier!! So many different terms than I am used to!

London has one of the most elaborate subway systems in the world. I was very impressed. Just wish someone would teach them to speak and write english!!!! Ha

The tube is the subway (mostly in reference to the London subway)
