no they are not
Stress (roughly the opposite of relaxation) is a medical term for a wide range of strong external stimuli, both physiological and psychological
Anger is a term for the emotional aspect of aggression, as a basic aspect of the STRESS RESPONSE whereby a perceived aggravating stimulus "provokes" a counterresponse which is likewise aggravating and threatening of violence.Very mild types of anger are typically described as "distaste," "displeasure", or "irritation," while "rage" refers to an extreme degree of anger associated with a loss of calmness or discipline (in the case of human conduct).

No, they're not the same. Of course, it's possible to be angry and stressed at the same time.
Stress is what you feel when you don't think you can't cope with everything that's happening...you have a paper due for your class, your best friend just asked a favor from you, the dog is sick, and you just found out that your car won't start. You may feel like you have it together for just this moment, but that at the end of the day/week/month, you'll just fall apart.
Anger comes from a feeling of injustice...something just isn't fair! It might be that someone cut you off in traffic, or that your boss takes credit for your work, or that someone in your family just left another mess for you to clean up.
I think you can see how some of the things that make you angry can also make you stressed. But they are still different feelings.

Perhaps anger and stress means different things to different
people. Stress to me is when I am trying to get something
done in record time. In traffic you can fell stress when you get
behind a driver who has no place to go and all day to get
there. Your solution, Leave earlier and don't follow too close.
Anger comes when someone steals from you. lies on you or
damages your property. - Frustration - is the string that ties
stress and anger together. That's my view. I hope it helps.
Good luck.

No, not the same.
They can have the same or similar effects on your body though.
Also, anger can cause stress. But then some good situations can cause stress as well... if you are worried that the good thing won't go right, or won't last as long as you'd like you can become stressed out about it.

Anger is a stressor, but stress is NOT anger. You may 'get angry' and that is 'stressful' to you ... but you can also be 'stressed' if something 'extra good' is happening, even getting married or having a baby. TOO MUCH STRESS causes very physical 'symptoms' and can make us get 'sick' faster than when we are 'relaxed' ... but to be 'totally relaxed' is IMPOSSIBLE ... so try to 'balance' your 'stressors' so they 'cancel each other out' more.

Stress is seeing some stupid person driving toward you on a icy road and they are going to fast.
Anger is what you feel when they hit you.
I wish to point out to all that made comments about me when I last answered a question and used "driving" I did not say SHE or hinted the driver was FEMALE in the above answer.

No, I personally think stress is much worst as it doesn't go away so easily, and sometimes you don't realise you are suffering from stress.
