I know we are all proud to have our children in our lives, but what specific moment or event made you just sit back and say "Wow, I am so proud of him/her"?

My daughter is a competitive ice skater and while she does wins some of her competition she makes me so proud when she chooses to do some of the hard things that are involved in the sport.

She makes me proud when she messes up some part of her program and keeps her cool and finishes with grace and pose.

She makes me proud when I ask if she wants more time to train or if she would like to leave now and she want to go out and work harder and longer.

Well, my son is only 2 so there are many more moments to come. Everyone always goes on and on about how smart he is and that, of course, makes me very proud. The sweetest thing he does that makes me proud is how he always remembers to pray before eating and wants to say the prayer. He even tries to get the dogs to fold their hands, LOL.

Hearing my first graders teacher say " Preston is such a well mannered and well behaved child. He really takes on a leadership role, is a joy to have in class, and cares a lot for others"
It made my husband and I so proud. He's our oldest(out of four), and so knowing that he is doing as well in school as he is at home with helping, being well behaved, etc. really makes me feel like I'm doing a good job.

When I have gone to parent teacher conferences and the teachers told me "your children are so well behaved and respectful to everyone" this made me proud. I have always said respect for others, adults and rules is very important in our home and I have tried very hard to instill this in my children. I was proud that it had carried over to school, even when I am not around!

Every day, my daughter makes me proud!

This year-she wrote 10 things I love about my mom and they were truly truly beautiful. It shows I did a great job as a mommy.

Also, she raised $250.00 to donate to the wwf and to the local animal shelter. She is a true believer in helping animals and global warming. That makes me VERY proud that she is so aware of things like that.

When they took there first steps, said there first words, shared there toys for the first time, got there own shoes on the first time, picked up there own messes for the first time, got a star at school for being good, read there first book, got really good grades ect... I am proud of my kids for every new milestone they have overcome in there lives as well as every time they show there own little independence by doing things on there own.

When other parents comment on my son's behavior and manners. Nothing makes me prouder than having another parent relay a story about something good and noble that my son has done! From helping smaller kids, to helping his friends with homework or just the teacher telling us how nice it is that our child says please, thank you, yes ma'am, etc! I think it's the little things that count!!

when i see them pretending to put the other one to sleep and watching them give kisses and sing songs and stroke the other ones hair.
