Those who know theScriptures are far more qualified since the Bible IS the WILL of God.

Absolutely not, since nobody, alive today or who has ever lived, since the year dot, has ever a) seen "god" b) heard "god" utter a single word d) has even the remotest idea of what "god" even is.
There are those who claim that because they "studied scriptures" they are qualified above others. But the word "scripture" is just another word for "writings" and does not in any way imply that there is something exceptional about these particular writings except for what they themselves claim within those writings. We do not take one unverifiable thing and try to use it to verify another unproven.
Those scriptures or "writings" out of which were at some point selected certain parts to be incorporated into a tome that today is known as "the bible", were dug up, perused, translated, re-translated, interpreted, re-interpreted, re-re-interpreted who knows how many times by how many people (all with their own strong agenda). Those who have chosen to swallow the whole content, using their own personal interpretations, as being absolute factual "truth" do so based on their own personal convictions. They are absolutely sure they are right, and others who think differently are wrong... But all the others think the same, so I guess that makes it a kind of Mexican Standoff. LOL. The one constant factor down through the ages is the absence of that all-important ingredient.... unquestionable, unarguable, irrefutable PROOF - something so absolutely undeniable that either every "unbeliever" would become an instant believer.... or alternatively, every single "God Advocate" would fold like a lawnchair and admit to having been deluded all his life. That hasn't happened yet, and if it ever does, it sure wont be in my lifetime.

It is my personal opinion that the only person who could ever claim superiority over anyone else in his ability to "know God's will" is the person who can first provide that incontrovertible proof of the very existence of this Mysterious Invisible Superbeing. And then be able to prove with equal undeniability to the world that God appointed him as his direct spokesman and interpreter. Anybody who accomplishes that will surely have my attention, and my ear. Till then, I will continue to do my own thinking, believing and determining, because I think it's just as good as the next person's.

The word of God is like a treasure, hidden in the world, and so are those who are qualified, hidden in the world, hard to find, but if one is more qualified than anyone else in this time, I do not think so.

Not in the flesh human world. I believe the best God way has chosen to spread the knowledge in this time, is by spreading the knowledge among all, or among many at least, so that nobody becomes vane and fall in his own arrogance.

One thing for sure is that they would speak in a way completely opposite to what the world's mainstream consider true. I consider myself Student, because Master is only Jesus.

Maybe, maybe not. But what I would be careful in avoiding is the often used concept of Relativism. Here is the definition in case you don't know it:

n. Philosophy
A theory, especially in ethics or aesthetics, that conceptions of truth and moral values are not absolute but are relative to the persons or groups holding them.

In other words, it means that anything can be true for you, but it is not true if I think it's not true for me: All truth is relative.

If a person has studied and has been involved devoted to the word of God, then they might know a little more about what God thinks; what the opinion of God is about certain things. Take an Atheist who's only concerned with disproving the Bible; would that person know what God's will is, and should what he has to say about God's opinion be weighed equally with the studied and well versed person?

I would say no, but I think that there are many here who take them as being equal, but only if they are honest enough not to have the sports fan mentality. Then they would always decide in favor of the 'team'.

Sure. If people can get into the mindset of killing their own son, dictating morality, and hiding your existence from your children, they'd be pretty qualified to discuss the Will of God (or at least the Judeo-Christian God).

I however, can't get into that mindset.

God left a will? Like, who's going to get what?

Oh, right, I knew that:

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall possess the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

******

He left some other stuff to other people, though.

Those codicils to the will can be found in *other* holy books, and written in the hearts of any spiritual people.

They who are without sin let them cast the first stone.
Those who are so full of the sin of pride that their religious way is the only way.
In my fathers house there are many kingdoms
Love thy neighbour as thy self.
The road to hell is paved with the good intendned

And the religious zealot's twist each and every quote to suite their own selfish thoughts

I think that people who actually believe in a god are more entitled to speak for what they believe that god wants than people who don't believe.

that's pretty much it for me.

but since I'm borderline atheist/agnostic I tend not to pay much attention to people who claim they know the true will of nonexistent deities anyway.

Some certainly seem to think that, yes. Sisterzeal comes to mind. As does anyone with 'pastor' in their handle.

No I dont believe so. There are people who are more familar with the scripture but they do not know god's will more than anyone else does.
