bodybuilding is 80% nutrition, 10% training and 10% supplementation. going to the gym and lifting progressively higher and higher training loads is the EASY part. counting calories and consuming 5-7 healthy meals daily for years on end is not. and that is exactly why 99% of the people that strive for maximum gains in muscle never achieve their goals.

I wouldn't trust anyone really. You need to develop one yourself. I think since everyone i different.

I recommend the squat and deadlift be core lifts in your routine. It is mostly likely you cannot perform these lifts well enough to avoid serious injury to the lower back/knees. So, I recommend a trainer to help you prepare and learn these vital lifts at the same time you and the trainer will develop a workout routine in general that works for you.

These lifts are very good since they are compound lifts and work a lot of muscle groups... even the small ones used for stabilization for such lifts. Also, since they work a lot of muscle groups, your body release alot of hormones essential to making muscle.

Plus, you have to master both of these lifts if you even want to learn the most advance lifts like the Clean and Jerk and the Snatch.
