We rarely talk... But she knows who I am. She wished me a happy birthday on Facebook this summer. I don't know her on a personal level, but... How can I do that? Just spontaneously ask her to dinner? Or start by asking her to join me and a few guys doing our homework together? Any help is appreciated!

Well have you seen her recently?
If not, ask her , when you see her, how her summer was.
Good conversation starter...
Then wait and see if she mentions any boys....
Then ask her if she would like to go out sometime?
Mention some dates..
-Put put golfing?
-Movie?.. Maybe a drive inn?
Don't say "Do you want to go out on a date," maybe... "Do you want to hang out sometime".????
Just be yourself..... lol
Make sure you know about her to ask her out, so sh does'nt annoy you?.....

It's 9 years later and idk if people still think like that of you did. I'm in a situation like this. I just can say that if you do what is necessary, you'll see that it's not the end of world, people all around the world do it and nothing bad happens. We are people, too. So why do we be shy or wait for nothing? It's good for everyone. I may even be writing this for myself. But one thing i'm sure about is that we all need to do it.

Well start by making small conversation, see if you think yall might have a connection, then go from there....I think asking her out to dinner would be your best bet though because you want to get to know her and doing that you would have alone time with her and women respect men that take the time out to get to know them...good luck and just remember to be confident!

personally I'll said go and talk to her.don't be like I'm shy or afraid something like that.u have to have a self confidence.don't follow her everywhere or she will be bored from u.and just go and tell her hi would u like to go out with me?don't talk and explain too much.let it be fast and easy and less words.because if u talk too much u will find out in the end that u are in the friends zone or the fans.so go for it and maybe she's waiting for u to take the first step.and if she doesn't so what ?at least u will know what to do and u'll know that its nothing.and if she agree it will be great

Ask to join you for a cup of coffee or just act like you didn't understand your homework or something, Don't be shy just start talking to her.. you never know maybe she feels the same way....Good Luck

just go up to her one day and say hi, ask her how she is, just let her know that you care, and day by day add more, imprive your relationship and make some progress, just like see how long you can hold a conversation for, and slowly try and make it longer and longer, then one you can have a full length chat just casually say something like, "hey, maybe we could meet up for a coffee later" or something, then work your way up. : )

the best way is always the straight forward way.. just go up to and don't be shy if she see that you have confident she will say yea ..who knows maybe she waiting for you to ask.. better be fast about it i am sure you not the only one who has there eyes on her. some one else might be straight forward with her ..better you then them that's the way i see it ..good luck

You should slowly approach her.
Peak into conversations.
First week say "hi"
Second... " hi, so.. whats up" hows ur summer"
Third... Have the same class as her go to her locker and ask to walk to class with her.
