The textbook answer is to say that God's plan is perfect and we just have to trust him that everything will be OK in the end.
The correct answer is that the bible was written by men who wished to explain how an omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent God behaves towards his creation.
That is why every religion in the world is different, and has their own logical sinkholes.
You would think that the God christians envision would be able to make His message clear, concise, and testable. The fact is, any christian that had been born in the Middle East would be a muslim. India? Probably a hindu. We are taught about God by the people around us, not by God himself.
How could God get angry with us for sinning if he created us to be that way? You would think that our sin would be no surprize to an omniscient God.
But, alas, he doesn't exist accept in the minds of the indoctrinated.

Where was the beginning standard for the judgment of "right" or "wrong"? How did this come to be? And if we created these concepts, then it's all relative: what the standard person finds bad (murder, for example), a psychopath may find acceptable, or even good. And if it's all relative, where's the basis for law? That can't be fair to those ever-present different-minded people. Yes, everything "is", and it came to be by God's hand and satan's devious work to destroy the good. The GOOD, not just "good".

Hi,
We all make choices in this life. Some choices cause a lot of pain, and some choices are to the betterment of everyone, but the fact is we all chose. God's looking for people to make the right choice. Chose life..... that's all I have to say. If you decide not to chose, you still have made a choice. And that's your free will to do so. As far as God making a mistake! I don't think any of us have the brain power to argue with him, and I think everyone here would agree with that. So how could you possibly say he made one?

Or why did God choose to make evil/sin the option? He certainly could have made the "choice" of free will to be between belief and non-belief and have avoided the need to condemn those that he supposedly loves.
Another similar thought is that Adam and Eve got to choose whether they knew about evil, but the rest of humanity has to live with the consequences of that choice...

"...good and evil are merely words symbolizing relative levels of human comprehension of the observable universe. If you are ethically lazy and socially indifferent, you can take as your standard of good the current social usages. If you are spiritually indolent and morally unprogressive, you may take as your standards of good the religious practices and traditions of your contemporaries. But the soul that survives time and emerges into eternity must make a living and personal choice between good and evil as they are determined by the true values of the spiritual standards established by the divine spirit which the Father in heaven has sent to dwell within the heart of man. This indwelling spirit is the standard of personality survival.
Goodness, like truth, is always relative and unfailingly evil-contrasted. It is the perception of these qualities of goodness and truth that enables the evolving souls of men to make those personal decisions of choice which are essential to eternal survival. ..."
Evil, sin and iniquity do not exist in God, who is an eternal, infinite Spirit. A loving personality, Our Father in Heaven.

God created human beings in His own image and likeness, with free will and moral capacity. You are asking why He didn't create us as mere instinct-controlled animals that cannot sin? Out of love, that's why. Personally I prefer it this way.

They'll answer free will, but no-one has explained why they feel they can limit their omnipotent god in that way. If god is omnipotent, he can create free will still with no desire to sin. That's supposedly what heaven will be like, so why not earth?

God gave us a choice in life. to either be good or bad. if we're good, we go to heaven as he vows to do.
if we're bad, then we go down below also las he vows.
it's between us and God what we do and not do.
he wants his people to earn heaven not just go there.
but you are forgetting the point that people will ask for forgiveness. at this point, anyone can go to heaven you know?
people choose their future. God already knows what will happen to us, but people choose. you think you can't help who you are but you can. i have changed myself so much over the years.
there is a saying in my language(turkish), "if you want me to describe you, descibe your friend". so whoever you're with, you'll be like them. be with good people and you'll be good. and hopefully you'll try to get out of the world's harms.

Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.
Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.

God didn't want to make robots who would do everything he said just because he said so. God made humans with freewill. He wants us to want him. He doesn't make us want him. We CHOOSE God or we don't choose God.
God made the rules and we CHOOSE whether or not to go by those rules. He is the God and creator of the universe and doesn't ask much from us. He wants our love. He wants us to love his son, Jesus and to obey his teachings and commandments like love each other and love God and follow the commandments. That is not so tough.
