True Christians (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) base their beliefs on the bible, rather than on human traditions or pagan inventions.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe the bible to teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God. Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

We don't believe it because Jesus did not believe it. We believe what the Bible teaches, not what someone dreamed up.

As long as we are talking about jumping to ridiculous conclusions, how about John 10:30 where Jesus said his Father and he were one. Quickly now! Leap to a wrong conclusion! What about a little later where in John 17:21,23 Jesus says his Father and he are in union with each other AND his disciples are in union with them! That is more than a trinity. What would that be besides a crowd? A crowdity?

I believe part of the problem is people don't think. God and Christ are titles, not names. The Bible shows the proper names behind the titles are Jehovah and Jesus. These are their personal names. I could show verses but these people will not look them up anyway.

They don't ask themselves a simple question, who was Jesus praying to all the time he was on earth? To himself? Why was he telling his disciples to worship his Father instead of just himself? Why would God die? If he died, who resurrected him? If he did not die, why go through with all the suffering for nothing?

We believe Jehovah to be the Creator and Jesus to be His Son because the Bible tells us so and we have read it there.

Because from our studies of the Bible it seems clear he isn't, we recognise him as the son of God. One example I often use is the death of Jesus. The Bible tells us, that the dead are conscious of nothing, and that God cannot lie. Remember those 2 facts.

Now as most, or any, Christians know Jesus was dead for 3 days. If he was God, that would mean that God died, which the Bible also tells us can't happen. Now if he was truly dead, it wouldn't be possible for him to be resurrected. So, we are left with a few possibilities. It could be that Jesus/God died, but resurrected himself, which would mean he was on some level still alive to do it, and that he didn't die and was lying. Or someone else brought Jesus back.

Hope that made sense on screen as well as it does aloud, and hope this helps.

who was Jesus Christ praying to? you cannot pray to yourself. Jesus always said that he cannot do anything without the Father in the heaven. people use, you seen me you seen the Father, what he was saying was that he was with Jehovah for billions of years before he came to earth. when Jesus was baptized, Jehovah came down like a dove and said this is my son the beloved. when Jesus was on the stake, he said Father forgive them. he never said he was God. by the way, we are a real religion. a cult worships man, we worship Jehovah and do what his son Jesus Christ commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. we live in our own homes in 236 lands, a cult live together and they don't go door to door, they don't even work

I'm not a Jehovah's Wittiness but I don't believe Jesus is God because I follow the first commandment. Jesus spoke the word of god he was not the word of god, Jesus prayed to god not himself, when Jesus was baptized god said from the heavens "this is my son" not this is me, god is one not three. Jesus was given a title above the angels but not equal to god he even said "the one who sent me is greater than me" but I'm sure you will go on to worship one as a god before god and break the first commandment.

Because Jesus is the Son of God and not God the Son.
The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus was the first born of all creation.Note he was created, this means that there had to be a creator....
Jesus often prayed to 'His Father',not himself.
Jesus' 1st century disciples recognised Jesus as the Christ and not God Almighty.
The Bible teaches that Satan is the God of this system of things. And as such he has manipulated and has had Bible truths twisted so that people may not get to know the truth about Jehovah God.Because if people believe Jesus to be God,they do not know the truth. If they do not know the truth, they cannot get to know God more closely and personally.
At John 17:3 Jesus stated:"For this means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you,the only true God and of the one whom you sent forth Jesus Christ."
Satan knows this and is doing all in his power to prevent people from knowing the truth of God's Holy Word.He is "blinding the minds of the unbelievers".
There is only one Almighty God.He had no beginning and He has no end.Ps.83:18 tells us his name is Jehovah.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.The firstborn of all creation. From who all other things were made.He died as a ransom sacrifice so that those who exercise faith in his shed blood have the prospect of eternal life on earth.
The Holy Spirit is Jehovah God's active force. It is not a third person,or part or a triune God.It is what Jehovah uses to get things dones.
Jehovah Witnesses offer free home bible studies.Go to your local kingdom hall and enquire about one.Only then will you come to know the truth about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus is who he said he was, the Son of God.

We believe that Jehovah is the most high God and Jesus is his only begotten Son and the Messiah.

Ps. 83:18 "That people may know that you whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the most high over all the earth."

Matt 3: 16 & 17 "...this is my Son the beloved whom I have approved."

John 10: 36 "You blaspheme,' because I said, I am God' Son?"

Col. 1: 15 "firstborn of all creation"

John 14:28 "Father is greater than I am"

John 10: 30 "I and the Father are one" he explains what he
meant at John 17: 21 & 22 when speaking of his disciples he said "in order that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, in order that the world may believe that you sent me forth."

John 6:38 "will of him who sent me."

John 7:16 "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me."

1 John 4:9 "..God sent forth his only-begotten Son into the world that we might gain life through him."

Matt. 24: 36-29 "Concerning the day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father."

Acts 7:56 "Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God's right hand."

Jesus said his father is greater then he. His father is God.

Exd 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Does it say Jesus is God in this scripture or does it say his father Jehovah is God?

We tend to lose something in the translation from Hebrew to English. That, combined with an addition to God'sword that is roughly 100 years old, Jesus was God (John 1), just not God the Father. Further, Lord (not lord), from Genesis-Malachi was the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most people don't believe that Jesus is God. Jesus is the son of God. He is not God.
