Will my body lose atleast one pound?

If you have never fasted, don't just jump into it. One day go for a 12 hour fast, the next day try for 14 hours etc. One fasting day will not melt a lb off of your body. You will be miserable and not gain the benfits of fasting. What fasting does is it allows complete digestion. You allow your body to complete this process, making room for another meal. Digestion will improve and it helps with inflammation. Not too long ago there was no such thing as breakfast,lunch, dinner and in between snacks. There was no such thing as a fridge or Wal-Mart.Food did not come to us so easily...we had to work much harder to get it to the table. Now that food is so easy to come by, we are eating too often. The body is constantly expecting to be fed and we are keeping it hungry by feeding it. I am fasting right now. Take note that when I eat, it will be a good size meal with protein, several vegetables, fruit and sugarfree pudding. I go to the bathroom 1/2 hour after eating my first meal and my gut feels empty eventhough I had a hearty meal.Four hours later I will have supper and my fast will begin again. I worked up to that...I didn't shock my body into doing this. You shouldn't either. BTW, I lost 10 lbs sense April

Fasting for even a day is not a good idea. It doesn't take long for your body to realize that you're not putting food into it, so it goes into starvation mode. When that happens, your metabolism drops into low gear and your body greedily hangs on to every last bit of body fat that you have, so you end up losing muscle. Not good.

You're better off doing a simple home-cleanse. Here's a basic one:

-- When you wake up, drink an 8 oz. glass of 100% cranberry juice with a tablespoonful of Metamucil stirred in
-- One hour later, drink an 8 oz. glass of green tea with nothing added and take one tablespoonful of olive oil
-- Alternate back and forth every hour between the cranberry juice/Metamucil and the green tea/olive oil
-- Eat six times during the day (roughly every two to three hours), but restrict your eating to cherries, dried plums (prunes), and berries of any kind.
-- BE SURE TO DO THIS FOR ONLY ONE DAY

You can lose up to a pound doing this. Give it a try.

Fasting for one day is not going to do anything except mess up your blood sugar.

i don't think so.But if you've never done it before be carefull on how much you don't eat.It can become dangerous.
