I'm a 32 year old female. I wouldn't call myself a vegetarian, but I'm pretty close, and would like some of the vitamins/minerals I miss out on. I'm looking for something I can take daily. I am also insulin resistant, if that matters. Thanks in advance!

I see several people recommending prenatal--which have iron in them. Isn't there a risk of iron overdose or too much iron if you take those every day? Not sure...heard that somewhere...

you're going to get a lot of answers because everybody feels they Have the best vitamin. In all my years of practice I have found that Multi Gel by GNC absorbs best into the body and is economical. I recommend one capsule Twice daily.

And it features 20 plant concentrates for even broader antioxidant protection and unbeatable health benefits. It also helps unlock natural energy stores. I buy from the link below. They offer free shipping, and I earn points towards free Double X with every purchase.
You can find Double X under Health and Woman daily. They also offer a one a daily multi-vitamin.

Take a prenatal vitamin if you ever want to have kids. You should start taking them now even if you aren't going to have kids for 5 years. Your body needs the extra iron to prevent anemia in pregnancy and folic acid to prevent birth defects. If you don't want kids then take a womens multi-vitamin. They are designed for women and have the necessary vitamins a womans body needs for regularity and hormonal balance.

I think most vitamins even including SOME expensive name brand vitamins are mostly sythetic and you'll only absorb a small amount of what you take it. Really watch your diet or find a vitamins in things that are "live". I really like Brewers Yeast, found in health store and Smiths Marketplace or Fred Meyer in bins....it's cheap and contains a lot of your B vitamins...There's no point in taking a vitamin and paying for it if your body won't absorb it.

Flintstones with Iron and an Omega 3. If you are primarily vegan, you need to be sure you get enough D, B-12, Iron, protien, calcium and omegas. You did not say if you eat dairy, so may be getting enough D and calcium from there. For protien, eat your beans and nuts (peanut butter). Reason I recommend Flintstones w/ Iron is that many vegans have problems with stomach upset on stronger Iron supplements.
