Yes, I do. And it is common. It's so that the right side of the print is visible when you make the bed and turn the tops of the sheets and blankets down.

If you like to fold the sheet back over the edge of the bedspread or comforter, then you should put the fancy side down. If you always leave it flat and never fold it back over the covering, or don't use a bedspread for whatever reason, then leave the print side up. The whole debate can be resolved by using plain sheets with no printing on it, unless the top edge has a decorative border, at which point you should go back to the initial instructions.

The Best answer is whichever way suits your taste.
While many people prefer to keep the top sheet print side up, the more interior design conscious keep the print side down (top sheet) to allow a finished look of the 2 sheet patterns when the guest opens the blankets to get in.

When print side is down you can fold back the covering and the sheet to give an elegant appearance to the scene, as the top and bottom sheets will be more in tune with each other. Otherwise there is no real difference, except for those with very sensative skin who might be able to feel the difference.

yes, the print side should be down so when the covers are pulled back, the print shows. Look for web or magazine ads that show the beds opened with the proper sheet placement. Also when sheets have a top border, they should be placed so the decorative border shows when the top is turned back over the blanket......the presentation.

Its the right way to make a bed, but it drives me crazy! If you are making your bed, its to keep it neat and tidy. Why do you want to roll down the top so that it can get dirty? How many people have to have a showroom beb anyway? Do you give tours? Probably not so I always put my sheet on print side up because it is my bed and I am the one who sleeps in it.

unable to enjoy life is a sign of depressant. You are a brave woman to face your problem. I have depression too and have been on medications for more than 10 years. I am grateful I sought treatment. It is brain chemical imbalance. It is not a sign of weakness. Depression is a disease just like high blood pressure or allergy. It is normal to take antidepressant just like people take high blood pressure pill. Lots of people seeks help from doctors. You can see a family doctor or a pyschiatrist. Remember, you are a brave person because you know there is something wrong and you made a decision to change. You long for better relationship and that's why you posted the question. You are on the right track!
