I asked to be given a green rose if "a" is the right thing to do; and for an orange rose if I should choose "b". St Therese sent me a red rose instead ... so what could this mean??? Serious answers only please.

It probably means: "Just pick one and do everything to the Glory of God and you'll be fine."
Either that or it means you need to look for an option C.
Frankly, though, I think you are asking too much from the Lord. You have a free will. You are free to choose for yourself, as long as you have your head and your heart in the right place and are proceeding without sinning.
