Has anyone else come to this conclusion that there are 1440 minutes in a day and the new jerusalem or new heaven described in revelations is laid out like a cube 1440 miles in 3 dimensions? This poses the question then if heaven indeed will be on earth then how would earth fit something of that madnitude on it? I am just making an observation.

For those of you that said new jersusalem wasn't an actual city or didnt understand how i came to 1440 miles read this. Revelations 21:15 "and he who talked to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and and its gates and walls. The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its breadth; and he measured the city with his rod, twelve thousand stadia. its length and breadth and heighth are equal." Now if you look at the bottom of the page there is a footnote that says twelve thousand stadia is roughly 1500 miles, but if you do the math it is approximatly 1440 miles. So i take this as an actual city.

LOL you might ought to be asking yourself just how many people you could possibly fit into so small an area as a mere fourteen hundred and forty miles long, and wide. And if "Heaven" is only going to be that same height too, I guess somebody is going to have to put a lid over the sky at that point.

I guess if all the Heavenly Righteous got stacked side by side like matches in a matchbox you could jam a pretty good number into that space. But what about all the wonderful pastures of e ternally green grass, and all those streets paved with gold we've been promised? What about all the lovely scenery and wide vistas of endless beauty and flowers that never die?

If there w ere going to be a "Heaven" created on this planet, then Heaven would not last for all Eternity because this planet of ours, like all other planets whirling around in the Cosmos, have a finite life. When our sun burns itself out, Earth "goes pop" Long before that happens, however, Man will have developed the full capabilities needed to get far out into Space and discover a new home. Somewhere out there, either in this Solar System or beyond it, there's a nice little planet with our name on it.

Well according to my calculator 1440 is correct. but the New City Jerusalem is not a literal city, Let's go to Revelation 21:9-11 John saw an angel & heard a voice say come hither, I will shew you the Bride, The Lamb's wife. 10: & he carried me away in the spirit to a great & high mountain & shewed me that great city the holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God. Now you are looking t God's Majestic glory coming down from heaven where on this earth for 1000 yrs, Christ & his Bride which is the new city Jerusalem ruling & reigning for 1000 yrs. on this earth. Then after the 1000 yrs is up, we go over into the eternal age. So Friend, the Bride of Christ is the New City Jerusalem.

In terms of finding time to walk 30 minutes, why not try to look for cumulative opportunities? eg. take stairs instead of lift; park you car a block away; get off one bus or train stop earlier; have stationaries you use frequently, placed at the other end of the room etc. Bits of exercise still add up. Something is better than nothing.

I missed how the minutes in a day hinders the size of the New Jerusalem? God is all about math and number though so I think it's pretty cool that they are the same and I'm gonna do some research into it. Thanks for the tip =)

That is why we know it is symbolic and it means a government that is in heaven that is to rule the whole earth.
The new heavens is a new government that is to be here on the earth.
Daniel 2:44 tells about this heavenly government riding the earth of its current governments.

You mentioned miles and if you think a little there was no such thing then. Try tor a measurment that was used at that time.

if you follow the bible so closely you will have to do a lot of crazy senseless things. Better think of it metaphorically. Like for example, "Jesus, the Son of God" in the metaphorical sense would say "Joshua, an intelligent, attractive gentleman" see what im saying?

You are not thinking in extra dimensional physics. Think T.A.R.D.I.S.
