Since evolutionist say we evolved according to our environment then were bird just born on tree tops and evolution caused them to have wings so they would stop falling to their death?

monkeys live in trees too. Maybe evolution will some day get the hint and give them wings.

I'm noticing a common thread among creationists. None of you seem to have any grasp on just how evolution works. You think it takes giant leaps from one form to the next. Well, it doesn't. It's a series of very, very small changes that compound and eventually become a very big change.

No, it's not that simple. Evolution happens by very small changes which sometimes help an animal (or plant, for that matter) to survive long enough to breed. As to birds, I think they probably evolved from flying or gliding reptiles. But the process was a long and slow one. And of course then one has to ask how those flying reptiles came into existence, and the answer would be that some of them developed webbing that allowed them to more successfully escape predators. And so on back through time, checking each small development in the chain, and looking at how it helped in the survival and breeding needs of the species.

Just stop asking questions, you don't understand evolution, and given your continued questioning when the answers are always provided it doesn't look like you ever will.

You reason that evolution is "just mindless random science". It isn't. It's a mindless yet guided process. Have you ever heard of natural selection? It's a quality control method that limits evolution to beneficial or neutral developments only.

Perhaps you also missed the bit about birds descending from the smaller variety of therapods (a type of dinosaur). Then again you don't believe in dinosaurs so why would you have taken it in?

The ones who somehow were fortunate enough to develop wings as they evolved did fly and now they're the only ones left. The wingless ones did fall to the ground just as you said, they all died and became extinct. That's why birds now have wings and can fly. See, there's always an answer for anything if you're not particularly concerned with the truth. Just make it up as you go like Christian apologists do and like I did just now.

If you're an animal that tends to jump from tree to tree (and tree-climbing animals are nothing new), even a little flab of skin (a mutation) between your arms and torso could potentially be the difference between landing safely and falling to your death. Natural selection will ensure that mutation becomes more common (mostly because all your fellow tree-jumping beasties are dead). Over time, this will slowly move towards a wing structure as lighter bones and bigger flaps will win out from the heavier animals.

I think it's possible that evolution happened. I just can't believe in it without God's hand to guide and control it. I think this is a happy medium. If I'm wrong, at least I'm not completely ignoring my God. Besides I can catch more flies with honey than sarcasm, no offense meant. Truly.

There can be order and disorder in the universe without it being created or determined by a god or gods, particularly the described vindictive god of Judeo-Christian religions. As far as the theory of evolution goes, I'd suggest you read about it prior to issuing your next mindless question.

mindless random science? it's about survival and procreation

see - don't comment on things you clearly have no clue about

and for future reference - if you have a genuine interest in evolution then post your questions in the biology section. Otherwise you're just another gutless wonder of a xian

Evolution has been proven with countless examples. The part that Evolution that still needs to be proved is the part that shows that it in no way disproves religion. It is ironic that it is the religious people that seem to be against that.

Birds fly because there is no gravity. His Noodlyness just chooses not to hold birds down with his noodly appendages.
