My question is how can i keep the excess weight off? I won't diet as i could be depriving my baby with what it needs. I know i need those 300 extra calories a day but how can i keep the excess weight off? I am getting married 12 months after the baby is born.

You do need an extra 300 calories during pregnancy do your homework!! I have had 3 children and 1 on the way and i am only 2 stone (24lbs) overweight so it can't be that bad!!

Sorry my mistake i only need 200 extra calories in the last 3 months. But still the question is still the same i am quite active i walk 2 miles a day i look after my children throughout the day.

i don't think you could be considered overweight. generally, pregnant women DO add on some weight throughout the course of pregnancy. nothing to worry about, just continue exercising & eating healthy foods.

Thats the problem, thats why so many women gain so much weight during pregnancy, some women gain even 75 to 100 pounds because they think that they need alot more calories, you don't.
100 more calories max, the key is to eat healthy, and eat foods with healthy nutrients, fish, lean meat, plenty of vegetables. Eat at least 1800 calories a day.

hello, it is fact that if you have a healthy diet you do not need any extra calories until you are 7 months and you only need 200 more fact, whilst my sister was pregnant she gained hardly any weight by walking everywhere its such as simple form of exercise try it good luck.

Just eat as healthy as you can---lots of fruit, veggies, and lean protein. Lots of low fat milk, too. Take a vitamin supplement, preferrably one made for pregnant women. The extra 300 is right---its good that you don't have the idea of "eating for 2".

well i dont knwo what 2 stone is.. but i got an idea...
watch what you eat and how your prep your found.. ya youmight need that 300 extra calories but i think the nurishment in foods is more important.. and wellbalanced meals... light pregancy work outs are really really good.. stay away from soda sugar ... drink water ... watch what you eat that all i can really say =0) good luck and congrats

Just watch what you eat, try not to eat alot of fattening foods. Eat healthy. And it's all about portion control as well. Congrats!
