Well, my church was going to a Mission trip to DC and planned it for several months w/ 2 other churches. I was looking forward to it for months until they recently said i cant go.

Reason: They said that the homeless people there will kidnap me, shoot me, or even worse!

I thing this sound like a huge pile of BS.

I mean, my cousins went there a month ago and HE IS A YEAR YOUNGER THAN ME! Also, the ppl coming there this time w. me have ppl my age and even younger than me. The D.C the the USA's capital, so it should have enough police there right?

Thanks for reading my problem and i would like to hear your opinion about this (Plz dont leave stupid comments)

It really does sound like a load of BS to me. Come on homeless people? They could have done better than that... I mean as long as you stay with a group of people and don't stray off alone, I think you should be fine. Aren't older church personell coming along too? I don't see what the big deal is.

I take it you mean your parents wont let you go, right? Yes, even though DC is the US capitol, it's also unsafe like every other major city. Homeless people rarely kidnap, except maybe if you were super rich and famous, I've never heard a story where it's happened. I doubt anyone will shoot your or do anything worse. But then again, things happen, you can't blame your parents for being worried. If it really upsets you have someone that is an adult go to your parents and speak with them. Explaining where you'll be, for how long and so forth. Once your parents get an idea of what is going on, they'll probably relax. And if they don't, you just have to except it. I know it's annoying but they are your parents.

what exactly are you asking? how to make them let you go? just try explaining that this would be a good opportunity to see how other people live and under what sort of conditions. tell them you realize they are less fortunate and you want to be there to give people hope and just help out. and go on the trip with a friend, maybe even like an older person you can confide in. they'll keep you safe because the buddy system always works.

Yeah, your church is up to something. Normally, churches send people to central and south america which is much more dangerous than DC.

Well I would ask them why they are not taking you beside the reason they are giving. Listen with all that trouble I would not go, I am sure there is something you can do.
Or change religion

Yes that is rediculous. DC is no different than anyother city in the US.

Everything happens for a reason.

How old are you anyway, it would help to know.
