You need to get some fat in there even if it's efa supplements or just oil. The protein maybe okay, but maybe add some beans along with the rice which will form a complete vegetable protein. The best range to lose weight in is 1 to 2.5 lbs a week. This will allow your body to accustom itself to the loss and the skin to regain its prestretched stage. Losing weight too quickly will cause the skin of abdomen, chest and inner thighs to sag, possibly dramatically. I don’t personally believe in any of the fad diets that keep showing up. I think that they put your body into an unhealthy famine mode which will cause you to gain the fat right back if you start to eat normally again. The best idea is to eliminate all junk food. You can do a cheat day if you need to but don’t go overboard. Eat balanced meals of reasonable size. Overeating will cause your stomach to be too large and you will still feel hungry when you’re not. Also have lots of healthy snacks during the day. Ideally you’ll want to eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Carry food with you so you aren’t tempted to eat unhealthily when you’re out of the house. And don’t buy unhealthy foods. Get foods that are low in bad fats—we do need fat to survive but not saturated fat. Minimize the processed flours and sugars, no white bread, no sugar. Choose leaner meats and protein sources. Don’t expect to eat pizza and burritos all the time and lose weight. And eat tons of vegetables. Eat salads, steamed vegetables and raw vegetables too. You can’t eat so much celery that you’ll get fat. Don’t eat too much fruit or things containing high fructose corn syrup. The reason is that fructose is hard on the liver because it can only be metabolized there. You can eat fruit during or after a workout. Don’t eat late at night because your body will turn it into fat. Eat a smaller amount of calories than needed to maintain your weight. You have burn more than you intake. Always exercise. Cardio especially, but weights are good too. Don’t give up. You’ll be glad you chose to lose the weight.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

1400 - 1600 is too less for an adult person. The adequate is around 2000 calories. If you plan to eat around 1500 only, it will only harn your health, you might lose weight, but at a price.
Also, weight lost gradually is the only way to maintain it. So do not cut down at one go. Cut down on fatty foods (you are vegan, so you must be having lots of nuts etc.), chips, fried stuff, cut down on fat rather than calories.
Also your diet doesnt seem to include any grains. You could have 5 grain bread with vegan butter for breakfast.
Also have stir fried (1 spoon oil) vegetables, these are essential for an adequate meal.
Bananas for iron.

Eeee---that is really low on protein. Vegan diets can be very unhealthy if not properly monitored by a dietcian. Don't play around with it on your own.
Without enough protein, you will feel like crap and you will have a hard time losing weight.
Try to get some dairy in there if you can, but if you must be vegan, you need a lot of soy products like miso, tofu, and much more soy milk than you are drinking.

3 years ago made the choice to start to eat more healthy, on a 1600 calorie a day diet, same as you, i was your exact weight 160 pounds, the weight came off so fast i didn't even realize i had gotten smaller LOL its like one day i woke up and i was 117 pounds! This would DEF work for you!!! im proof
ps. i still eat the same way tho now...1600 calories and really healthy so once you lose the weight im guessing you have to maintain it. Ive never gone back to eating like i did before and i wouldn't risk it. I over ate by alot tho probably 6000 calories a day LOL so i was lucky i wasnt 300 pounds i guess. ANYWAYS GOOD LUCK

Ugh. One of the biggest enemies of dieters is boredom. If that's what you're gonna eat every day for the next few weeks, I give you three days, max, before you give up completely. I don't know anyone who could happily eat half a kilogram of brown rice every day.
See a dietician or nutritionist who can help you work out a healthy, balanced, interesting eating plan.

i think its pretty much a good diet, nevertheless, it would be great if you sugar your things with splenda instead of sugar, and try to replace the blueberries with something with less sugar and less calories, like dried prunes.....
also, drink lots of water and of course walk at least for 30 minutes 3 times a week..... you'll definetely see results in short time
