I went to two different locations to have photos printed, both times an "exclamation mark" appeared stating there was missing data and the quality of the prints turned out really bad. I had changed the colours to B&W and sepia tones so i went home and reverted everything back and went back to the store thinking it was because of the program i used but it did the same thing. I'm thinking it could be my memory card. I bought a "brand name" 2KG SD card and when i had put it in my canon ( i have only used it in my SLR) the canon could not read it saying it was too large. I need to get these prints done but i want the quality to be decent and not poor, can anyone tell me what the problem could be and if it can be fixed??

Please!!

TIA!!

ask the store if they can give you the profile for their machine. Maybe that's the problem. The machines that print have a profile they follow for printing.

If you're shooting and the pics are coming up on the preview and you can still bring them up later, the disk isn't the problem. It's the place where you are taking them.

Burn your stuff on a CD and take it to a camera store that makes prints from digital.

In my i-Station system, an exclamation point means the image is low resolution and may not make an acceptable print. In your exif data, how big does it say the image is? Maybe you accidentally shot at lowest resolution. If that is the case, I'm afraid you are stuck with what you have.

I would not suspect the media at first. It is more likely related to the software used to move and enhance the pictures. Many easy to use software suites perform wizardry like activities without prompting you so as to ease the usage to most users. Picasa for instance (free from Google-neat application) when prompted to email 8 pictures reduced their sizes to about 1/24 their standard sizes making them more readily mobile for internet email attachments - great unless the receiptants want to use the pictures as a print source.

If you tried it well in other SD Card, then, the new SD you have has the defect...

But, I experience that way, and what i did is, i went to canon coz still have time for its gurantee and they said, the system is error and need reinstallation...

So I wait for 1 week until it was done...
