I'm catholic so I should believe that there is something after you die. Recently I became terrified of dying because It seems very naive to believe in something like that since there are so many theories out there. Im interested in your views.
does anyone else have this phobia?

It says in the bible (so I've heard, I haven't had time to check it out yet) that this world will end with a bang as you probably know, and that Jesus has 1000 years to make people see sense. Then it starts again as heaven, and anyone who is good will live forever in the perfect world, and those who are not so good just go to their grave. In between now and the end of the world I suppose we all just sleep. (one Greek translation of hell is grave, but there are many)
I expect you are more afraid of how you will die then the actual death - and that is perfectly normal, but you are a person with faith, so trust that the Lord loves you and wouldn't let you suffer unnecessarily.
I know it's hard to say, but just put your faith into practise. I read something sweet a while ago, it was just after the Twin Towers attack and a newspaper was focusing on this man who jumped from one of the top floors, and the paper was saying that this man had so much faith that he just knew that a hand would catch him. And I thought wouldn't it be great if we could all have an endless faith like that.

Yep I do. I didn't think catholics were allowed though as this could come under witchcraft and the black arts in some bigoted catholic belief.

The Buddha's know a lot about it and in some cases it is referred to as reincarnation - that is when you live - you die and you get reborn into this life again as another person.

There are all sorts of options depending on your beliefs.

Basically if you believe you will go to heaven when you die you will, if you believe you will go to hell you will, if you don't believe you will just notice some time later that you are in blackness but you can still think.

If you believe you will go to Hawaii - you will too.

So just be creative when you die and think of where you would like to be - then you will go to a prefabrication of same.

PS It's only the physical body that dies not the spirit or soul. Bit like changing your vehicle to get around.

PPS - Your skin can be whatever colour you want it to be too in your new life.

On the whole, my logic side tells me there cant be, but then my spiritual side tells me there is. If there is not then how do so many people claim to have seen ghosts and the other side? I dont get it. All I know is when my nephew died it was a comfort to believe that he was still 'somewhere' and that another deceased family member would now look after him.
I guess we'll never know for sure, until we die!
As for dying, I am not afraid of death itself, it is dying that worries me, I hope I go to sleep have a massive heart attack, die and be none the wiser. But I hope that is a long way off.

Life after death? Not as we know it to be. But surely there is a spirit world that is a better place.

We all have souls, which is easily proven by the fact that all humans have regrets, and sorrow for the sins we do, if not for a soul, there would be no regrets.

The fear of death is more about the natural instinct to survive, which we are all born with. From the moment a baby is conceived it fights to survive and that carries on our entire lives.

particular and it is call "Reincarnation" it is a non secular (like Hindu and Buddhism) and philosophical (Buddhism) thought that the spirit, after organic and organic leave, starts off a clean existence in a clean physique that is human form, animal or non secular reckoning on the solid and undesirable high quality of the previous existence's. For an occasion- there are a great form of youngsters born standard , each 2d all international and so so does animals.. some toddlers born in destructive relatives's and a few born in wealthy and a few in between, some born with disabilities and a few healthful.. some toddlers born and die at that occasion like they see the worldwide for few seconds and a few are paralyses and ailment.. some born interior the worldwide places the place they have the warfare and a few no longer.. and additionally, why do animals born.. extremely of born as animals.. why can not those souls born as human beings?? all of them are the end results of what they have performed of their previous existence, do no longer you think of?? :)

Lots of people are afraid of death because it represents stepping into the unknown. Religions may preach an afterlife and this comforts many. However, my take is that there is no afterlife and therefore life is all you have, so enjoy it as it's not a rehearsal for the future.

I do believe in that...

Because I think there must exist something to differentiate between good people and those who are bad, murders, thieves and tyrants.......if life after death doesn't exist so life is not fair at all, and then we are living for nothing.....I think God is fair, and he is gonna give everyone his portion....life is very short, some people say.."it's just a big joke".....
Life is just an exam for the Life after death which is immortal, we either fail and go to hell, or succed and go to heaven...it's just a path to it.....if it's not like that, then our life is meaningless...and unfair..

No dear, it's death after life actually.
The main difference with insects is that after you die, perhaps some people will remember you for a while....

Don't be afraid. It's wonderful.
I died on an operating table in 1996, and "went over" for several minutes before the doctors brought me back. The physical being you think you are is only part of who you are. The true you that goes on is much more beautiful than you can possibly imagine.

I believe in an everlasting life after death. but life after death is only for those who believed in God through Jesus Christ and fulfills all his commandment before they died.

Those who do not believe in him will end up in hell fire whether they like it or not!

John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

You don't have to be scared of death if your heart is clean but if u know u still have a sin in you, repent now cos u don't know when u will die.
