well i lived there for 18 years and can assure you Crewe is a town!! and a large one at that.
Is has one of the main railway stations in the uk. I
Rolls royce was also manufactured in crewe up until a few years ago until it moved,
its still quite an industrial town with a lot of history.
south cheshire is quite beutiful aswell, lots beautiful countryside and traditional english pubs etc!!
crewe itself is ok, nightlife is pretty average. haven-t been over there for a while so can-t really comment on anyting else

It used to be a small town but is growing rapidly because it is very attractive (historically and presently) and is close enough to commute to Manchester (for example)
Crewe and Nantwich have one council.(sadly)
Crewe is situated around one of the original railway junctions and is somewhat poor and uninteresting whilst Nantwich is a uniquely beautiful market town and well worth a visit. (Voted one of the best tourist attractions in England)
I'm biased as a Dabber (a native of Nantwich) who does not like the loss of independence acquired with joining Crewe!
Crewe park used to be quite nice but is in progress of a long improvement - and a nasty disease in the lake.
"Quelle domage!"

the hot woodland section is solid, all around Hampshire. The south-eastern corner of england is the dryest nevertheless - East Anglia and Norfolk and suffolk. everywhere with solid forestation won't be extraordinarily dry and - to be truthful - the entire bloody u . s . a . feels like a sponge genuine on the 2d!
