I am going on holiday to Hong Kong this November, but my UK passport expires next April. Does anybody know if your passport needs to be valid for more than a year after your date of visit or will it be ok to use my current one?

The airlines usually like that you have 6 months left on your passport. I went once to Thailand with 3-4 months on my US passport, I signed an exemption or waiver and it was no big deal. November is "almost" six months from April but......

Good luck.

Now it relies upon what sort of passport you carry, in case you're a British national there are distinctive rules, and in case you no longer then there are another rules that would stick to. you're able to get in touch with the Consulate or the British Embassy, and get maximum appropriate techniques-----
