While coming through the dial yesterday I heard a segment on the Limbaugh show that was at best a distortion of history, at worst a history revision to serve political purposes.

Limbaugh stated that JFK was a "communist fighter" and spoke about his administration fighting the communists in Vietnam.

JFK inherited Vietnam from Eisenhower. There were 2,000 "advisors" stationed in Vietnam when JFK took office. JFK's admin. sent over about 15,000 more advisors. By 1963, though,, JFK had asked McNamara to create a plan for their withdraw. JFK NEVER laid any plans for upwards of 450,000 troops being stationed in Vietnam, as later became the situation under LBJ.

JFK had mentioned more than once to his advisors that he saw little purpose for America fighting a serious war against the Viet Cong in a "jungle half a world away".\

JFK lived in an era of Soviet threat and expansion. JFK tried to use diplomacy and tough words to contain communism, and was cautious using troops.

You must work for the drive by media spraying your bullets of lies.
Rush is the only way to get the truth and he post it on his site and backs it up on the air.

You left wing Communist can not stand any one who has your number and America has it Thanks Rush. The man who runs the country.

Oh you might work for one of the papers who have been laid off so now you mus be paid a lower rate to come on here and spread your lies hoping to influence some kids minds as if in the Commie school system of the public system that is. It is not enough.

Well we have our children tune in and then talk to them and as you abort yours and become less every day we are not. And the next generation will be stronger and you will be weaker and you are not important to any one but your self.

It is well documented that prior to his death JFK was going to order the pullout of US troops from Vietnam. It was after the death of JFK that LBJ greatly escalated the war in Vietnam. Some of JFKs prior actions show that he was not adverse to using troops and force but it seems obvious that he was convinced that our involve in Vietnam was a mistake that he was prepared to correct.

What were a total of 17,000 advisers advising ? Give me a break ! I listened to the broadcast in whole. Nice cherry picking on what was said . JFK was a great man and president, but, you can hardly call the "Bay of Pigs" and the Cuban missile crisis a example of diplomacy with communism.

JFK's best diplomacy was reserved for young women, not for the communists. JFK escalated, LBJ escalated, Nixon escalated and then began the pullout. Then we abandoned SE asia to the terrorists and results have been genocide. Let's not repeat it because the we know the consequences.

We should stay in Iraq twice as long as Veitnam
we pulled out of there waaaay to soon.

If we stayed the corse, we could have defeted all of the communests.

There are more terrrorests in Iraq than communests in Veitnam so that means we should have a draft and stay in Iraq at least another 10 years.
