Bluetooth earpieces were actually invented for phone sex operators so they could be doing housework and stuff while they are on the phone with their telejohns, so maybe these people are phone sex operators.

Maybe their worried about what scientists say: 'talking for long periods of time on a mobile might cause brain cancer, because of the signal radiation'.
But from my point of view the blue tooth device still operates with 'signal radiation' so they are just switching one sauce of radiation for another.
Isn't the blue tooth device constantly switched on whilst being worn, thereby constantly receiving signals from the phone ('radiation') But when using a phone your only exposed to the 'radiation for the duration of the call?
Just a thought ??? :-o

Because they wouldn't look "important" without it! :)
Some people need "things" to make themselves feel that way.... it's a shame too.
If it's needed when not driving, like the woman who's talking to her husband, that's a different story... but I believe that's not the norm. MOST people seem to "need" these things....
I think it's ridiculous.
Just my opinion!

Because that way I can still do stuff while I talk to my husband for hours. He works on the road and sometimes his calls are forever! I know I look dumb but hey, I'm gitten 'er done!

Some because it is new to them, others because they need their hands free, and others just because they have trouble hearing the phone ring.

Another annoying phone thing is people walking down the street with their phone on speakerphone and holding it right up to their mouth to talk to into. Why bother having it on speakerphone - you can just hold it to your ear!!

because (they think) it makes them look cool and important. i personally don't like the idea of something big and blue sticking out of my ear. besides if they were that important, they would be paying someone to answer their phones for them!!
