Please also ask this question in the health section and the babies/pregnancy section.

I did not see your previous question but your wife needs to see a doc for medication and counselling. Sometimes PND can last for only a few weeks but in extreme cases it can last for years - so please get her professional help.

You seem to be doing your best - GOOD ON YOU. Try to make her feel special apart from the baby - she needs to know that all the emphasis is not just on the baby. This sounds selfish but it is not. Tell/show her that you don't know all the answers with the baby - nobody does. Keep up the good work and good luck..

one thing I wish my husband did was just listen to me when I was crying for some reason I just wanted someone to hold me and tell me it would be okay....I look back and wish I had told him thats what I needed the most at that time of my life. You sound like a very caring husband =)
It could last from anywhere to 2 month to a year depends on the person.

Doing what you already are doing is great and supporting her during this period will help her immensely. Post natal depression can last for some time. Your wife will need to see her Doctor and he/she can prescribe medication for her.

It comes and goes for an entire year. She needs to sit and talk to someone. You are such a good guy to recognize it, validate it and help! I just wanna hug you! Take her out for coffee or dessert, hug her, tell her she is beautiful, make the baby laugh. This too shall pass. Bless your heart.
