Here's a marriage divorce poll of sorts?

Question

From many of these questions this AM I am wondering if anybody really knows what ex means? Do we still see each other, like each other a little, sex when no one else is available? It has been starting to sound like ex is a "on hold" state of life! So, ex. Permanent or Part time separation?

I NEVER GOT CLOSE TO MY FIRST HUSBAND AGAIN AFTER DIVORCING HIM AGAIN.....SO THAT RELATIONSHIP WAS PERMANENTLY ENDED, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD CHILDREN. BUT, MY SECOND MARRIAGE, WELL EVEN AFTER WE GOT DIVORCED WE STARTED LIVING WITH EACH OTHER AGAIN UNTIL HE DIED.

before I met my husband, I got back with this "ex" or that "ex" to see if anything would develop...but, nothing ever did... I also want to add this... When I meet someone, I don't keep in contact w/ exes purposely... and now that I have met my husband and am married to him, I take the vow "forsaking all others" seriously. No more talk to any exes. I think an ex interest tried to contact me after I got married, but, I put him on ignore, and didn't speak to him. If you run into someone somewhere on accident and a simple hello how are you and all that...that's different... but someone looking up an ex on the internet or calling an ex or visiting an ex is totally wrong, in my opinion, unless you share a child and there is visitation involved. I think that's all I have to say for now.

I think it depends on the 2 people's personality.
I have ex's that when we broke up - it was a final cut - a slammed door never to be reopened.
and I have an ex who despite the 7 years that have passed and the fact that we live in different cities - about 2-3 hours travel - we keep in touch by mail and phone almost on a daily basis and still have deep feelings for each other. she will always have a very special dedicated place in my heart and i know the feeling is mutual. she is a lovely person that it's always fun to be around and yes we have gotten together for sex whenever occasion arises. (you may ask if everything was so good why we broke up - let's just say we have different lifestyles and her career took her to another place)

its a diff generation, ex use to mean no longer together, barely accuaintances let along sex and def no sex but now sounds like its another word 4 baby daddy or friend with benefits......for me ex is excommunicated, in exhile jk no longer part of my life - but im a pretty common sense no tolerance for nonsense type of chica

Done with the relationship but not necessarily the friendship. No more sex for that leads the more relationship.
