Men don't like to talk about stuff like that, because it involves emotions and opening up, which can be difficult.
But I know some guys who will talk to each other about personal things, sometimes...It just depends on how deep the issue is.
I have guy friends, and usually I have to push them to get into their personal lives. They don't open up easy.

Men just arent programed for sharing personal information. Sometimes we women need to share less. Some men share with other women, but there is a danger that could lead to an emotional affair.
I think men are happy if they do not have to deal with emotions--but our relationships and marriages cant be fixed if we dont know what each other might be thinking and feeling. But we women tend to "overtalk" issues.

My husband does. He works at a job where you are in close quarters with 2 other guys at any given time. They all get to know each other very, very well. These guys talk about everything. I'm almost afraid of what he's told these guys about me after some of the stories he brings home.....
I think you are making a generalization based on your own situation. It's just not true.

I talk with two of my best friends (males) about my personal problems. Sure joking and B.S.ing is a big part of any friendship, i can't just tell any of the guys about my personal problems. And when i do tell em, it is always in a strategic location away from women, to refrain from appearing too sensitive

I agree w/ Jack down there, but, it depends on the personal issue. If I have a problem to work out with my spouse, I talk to him about it, noone else. It's betrayal to talk about my spouse behind his back, unless it's something good of course, lol =) if it's just something personal that has nothing to do with the spouse, then, it's just a man wanting to be manly...so they just talk about sports and cars and stuff like that =)

guess men are men and with ego and pride? or maybe they're not as good at keeping secrets as women?
men do talk about such matters between themselves though not many or common. for some of them are also made of flesh and blood and too have emotional feelings and needs.
for some perfer to talk to women for women are soft hearted and emotional and have better listening ears and more calm in giving their views and advice.
they do but no many.

Better that than a Mamma's boy who tells his mother every thing... sorry. Just had to vent.
I think it is supposed to "look" like they are leading the perfect macho life, free of lady problems.
Communication saves relationships but no one has the courage to communicate. Such a sad state.
