Barcelona? A very secure and hard to open belt bag. Plus a personal safety device.

My reason for saying this is that the very first day I was in Barcelona, some people tried to nick my wallet, but I caught them. It's a lovely city, but you really have to watch yourself and your stuff.

Keep safe.

You should give them something that they would remember you by while they are there.

If it is a guy get him a watch, and get yourself a watch and then set the timer the same. Then tell him when the timer goes off you both will be thinking of each other.

If it is a girl, get her a purse, or find a picture of the two of you and frame it. Don't have a huge picture, just like a travel size. I think that would be friendly, and cute.

As already suggested, maybe a guide to Barcelona or Spanish phrase book?

If you are close and would rather it was something personal for them to take with them to remind them of home, maybe a nice little piece of jewellery or something.
