See one is afraid of thiings like death, when you have a doubt in your mind or a pre assumption of the thing. One can not be afraid of death if one learns to accept death. It is the way of percieving. One needn't see death aas the end of life. If can always be seen as the begining of a new life or a transformation from this world to a better world of angels. Most people fear death, because of the assumptions that the society has built up around them, associating everything with death as dark. The moment one acceptsthe existence of death the sooner one looses the fear of it. If you know and accept the fact that everyone has to enter the gates of Death one day or the other in their life, the fear of death is lost as the fear of encountering it abruptly kind of ends
I hope i made sense to you

It's only natural.

It is, as they say, the only thing that is absolutely guaranteed in your life.

As it is inevitable, then the best way is to put it out of your mind. Thinking about it will change nothing and is therefore simply a waste of valuable time. Live your life to the full, don't waste any opportunities and don't have any regrets........then you will not fear your death as you will have enjoyed your life.

You may, if you wish, find comfort in religion and the thought that there may be an afterlife.

.....and, as a last resort, you could offer to play Death at chess (or Twister) - I've heard he's always up for a game !

It is hard to convince everyone not to fear death because of individual differences and status in life. Could you not escape the fear of death if you are only the breadwinner of the family? Definitely not because all your family is relying on you being the sole breadwinner. That's why fear of death is inevitable in this simple situation. Those who knows well that death is a natural thing and there is no reason to evade it because all humans will return to dust may not be a problem so long they submitted themselves to God. That would be fine. However, the problem lies on the individual in facing death. Therefore, it is really impossible not to be afraid of death. Many still fear death.

The only thing that is true in this life is death ,as it is inevitable after birth. Being afraid of death is normal but thinking about it and spoiling your present and future is real stupidity and madness.Even those on the death roll or bed accept it and wait of the conformation from the LORD .As it is the way nature takes its own course to balance the life on earth.
The only way you can avoid those thoughts is to enjoy life king size, By living day by day happily & Healthily, without any regrets.Learn to live life each minute, hour, day, week, month and finally the year.and for ever after .

Yes, it is possible if you are fully aware that actually what dies is only your physical body. Your spirit continues the journey, quite possibly to a higher level of reality. People tend to fear death because they hold on to their earthly possessions. After all, as a being, we may stop doing (breathing, moving, eating etc), but we never stop BEING.

It's not really possible. However, I have personally seen someone approaching death but able to distract his thoughts through watching old movies.

Happiness is distraction; joy is knowing God.

Were you ever lost as a child and scared to death? It is a frightening feeling to be lost and not know what is going to happen next. Death is that. Everyone has ideas what is going to happen when you die but know one knows for sure.

It becomes easier to accept it as we get older, and bear physical and emotional deterioration as well as redundancy in life. It is like hating your job and being ready to get fired.
