hi i just got in to the jr. basketball team at highschool.we do drills and a game during lunch since there are no free time for us to train after-school.

about me:
im about 5''5 tall and im only 15,pretty small for a highschooler.my current position is still unknown on my school team but im a pointguard on my dad's team.i dunno how high i can jump but i can touch the net about nearly halfway of it. every day i always have to walk home after-school about 4km away and play bball every break and in the morning at school.im a good long-range shooter, but sucks at passing and ball handling/dribbling. i tire so easily by running back and forth during a game, maybe im not fit enough(walking home everyday, plays sports everyday)

i want to know on what kind of drills/exercises i should do to improve on my weaknesses that i could do alone. and also my vertical leap,i know its impossible for me to jump higher but 'nate robinson' inspired me with his dunks w/ his height of 5'9 .thx

Keep a basketball with you where ever you go, especially on your long walks from school, dribble with both hands and try to keep your eyes off the ball. To become a better passer toss a basketball to a friend for as long as you can until you are comfortable with each pass that you make, practice a variety of passes or practice dribbling up and down a court and passing the ball to each other, practice these things until they become second nature.

For your verticle leap, try jump roping. After you become more advanced at jump roping you can add an ankle weight to your workout or even a weight vest. Using a jump rope will help you to develop the explosivness you need from your muscles to jump higher. Lunges and squats are another good excercise to develop your jumping ability.
Good Luck.

to work on speed just run alot and watch wat you eat also do leg lifts and squats because u need stong legs to run fast this will also help you in jumping

for passing by yourself use targets at home or something but really watching games will help alot you will begin to realize the court and the openings

for handles jus carry a ball everywhere u go and driblle with bot hands this will help your passing alot too becuz u wont be worried about controlling the ball so u can focus on looking up and finging open teammates trust me those to go hand n hand

finally for jmping like i said leg lifts and squats but that only helps a little u need to apply plyometric exercises look it up on google and stuff dont buy videos all they really do is give you plymetric exercises
hope this helps and good luck

Edit: Oh and i'm not trying to show off or anything but i use these drills to and ive made my basketball team the last four years and was captain last year so if u want advice take it from people who play i'm sure there are others that answered this questions that have more credentials than me though

I play point guard for my team and i have many drills that i do everyday. First, to improve my handle i dribble with a tennis ball and i play this little game with 3 of my friends, we all get a basketball and get inside of a square or something (like the lines on your driveway) and we try to rip eachothers basketball while trying to keep our ball in possession and who ever goes out of the space or loses the ball is out. Trust me this really works and almost everywhere you go when your walking keep a basketball with you and practice your crossovers.

Find out what the fundamentals are for moves you want to incorporate into your game. When you practice these fundamentals do so at game speed. Repetition of correct moves will make them permanent. Once you can use them properly on the practice court, then put them in when you're playing. Adjust and fine tune depending on the level of success you experience against live opposition. Have people who know your game watch you once in a while. Their input can help you fine tune and improve. The key is effective and sufficient practice of fundamentals.
