hi guys. I have a 1991 dynasty. How can I baby the transmission. Apparently, it sticks in second gear on occasion..I know its gettting old, but I can't afford the more than $1000 overhaul its really going to need, and plus its just not worth it.

Is there a recoomended additive, such as wynns, or duralube for transmissions that will help it somewhat?

VERY TRUE...NBR660 has the right idea...

You might be floored by the results of changing the TRANS FLUID and FILTER...

I can say i added (LUCAS TRANS HELP) and man it started making a difference minutes after, shifts are smoother, and on tap...

DURING the FLUID and FILTER change, have them add the LUCAS TRANS HELP..

best wishes!

The filter and fluid change is a good start. Then have a transmission guy check it out. The shifting may be a simple problem and you can get some years out of the transmission.
