The contempt is for failure to pay alimony and settlement, decree was filed October 27, 2006. Paid alimony until March 2007 then quit. Settlement was due December 1, 2006 never paid.

It is against the law to use White-out on any court document, even when a done by a judge. However, when a judge violates the law in that way it is called a "fraud upon the court." Write a letter to the presiding judge and to the judicial oversight commission in your state.

A judge doesn't "white out" a signature -- they just vacate their previous order.

And if the judge decides not to hold someone in contempt, there's nothing you can do -- contempt is exclusively a remedy of the court to punish someone who is disobeying a court order.

You can seek to have the original alimony order enforced, which is a complex legal proposition and you should find an attorney who is willing to take that on.
