With the current level of knowledge and understanding we have about the working of human mind, it is possible to interpret a dream with an accuracy of about 51%.
Human mind is very complex in its working and it is quite difficult to intrepret dream as a product of the complex mind even if the inputs that are going in to production of the "dream" is well defined.
Unfortunately a dream is the result of the mind acting on individual perceptions of the complex social transactions. Hence the input is never well defined.
The physical condition of body & brain and the acquired personality of the person will also cause vivid alterations in the processing of the perceptions.
I had been called an expert dream interpreter more than once in Yahoo Answers .

Hi Kamal
To understand what's actually going on you need to understand that whilst we are asleep we alternate between bouts of plain unconsciousness (about 90 minutes each) and periods of REM sleep, which is when we dream
Neuroscientists' best guess at the moment is that when we dream the brain is sorting out all the information we taken in whilst we were last awake, and produces coherent patterns so that we can make sense of the new information, thoughts, etc. in comparison with all the information we already have in store (in the neocortex).
Part of this sorting process seems to involve shuffling material back and forth via the hippocampus (short term memory) BEFORE it is arranged in a meaningful order.
We know that if people do remember their dreams at all, it is usually whatever they were dreaming during the last period of REM sleep before they woke up.
So what we actually remember, be it pleasant or unpleasant, is simply whatever was shuttling through short-term memory, at a time when stuff was all jumbled up and didn't necessarily have any pattern to it at all.
Hence our dreams sometimes seem quite sensible, but more often we remember dreaming about very weird things .
Either way, be assured that this is your brain doing, very expertly, just one of the many tasks it is capable of.

You had already interpreted the dream as bad. What made you say it as bad, would mean what you had been anticipating.
One has to look at the content of the dream and look for the symbols that appear in the dream. One may have a wish for possessing a person at the conscious level, that is unattainable and in the dream, one may see some danger happening to the person- one may call it a bad dream, but it may be the intense wish to possess the person.
Very intriguing ???
Next time before you call the dream bad, check what it means to you.

Dreams are a way of the brain rewiring itself after a hard day of thinking and doing .When we are sleeping during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement)period the brain creates a foreground filter screens which we see as dreams .These screens are created by the brain using your random memories and imagination. It then creates a continuous image blending everything it finds on the surface memory .These can be good or bad according to you ,the brain doesnt know. The more you dream the better for you ,no matter what type of dreams it is .Your brain is improving itself making you smarter and more efficient .

If you keep having bad dreams a therapist might be able to help you get other them, and will analyse them with you.
If you post the details of the dream then maybe the good people of yahoo answers will have a shot at interpretting it.
Try and pick out the key points from the dream and see what they represent. Some things are fairly obvious, others have deeper meanings.
For example being naked in a dream infront of your work collegues shows fear of being 'found out' 'exposed' or misjudged.

We can predict future results in a particular situation with the help of analysis we do on the basis of reasons, logic and our past experiences only. The correctness of our prediction depends upon the extent of the correctness of our analysis.
There is no other way, including dreams and nightmares, to know or get indication about future.
To guide someone about future means to treat him specially and to prefer him over others. It is illogical to believe that God will prefer someone and treat him specially by giving him the power to know future when we believe that we are sent here for a test and are provided with equally even ground to play.

you can at least write what the dream is about..
i don't think bad dreams have interpretation.. it could be a portrait of what you're thinking of a lot and fearing that it'd happen..
