I have to have a fan going.

I've always needed noise. I sleep with a BIG fan like 8 inches from my head, we have no a/c so its there because I'm hot. I didn't notice that I needed it till I went to spend the weekend at my parents. They have a/c so the temp was fine, but for some reason I couldn't sleep. My husband turned on a fan in the corner and I was out in minutes. I used to put the T.V on a sleep timer when I lived with my parents and I'd fall asleep to that. The t.v. still works too.. but the constant noise of the fan works best.

i like it dark, with a fan going. i can't stand any noise other than that - i wont allow a tv in the bedroom, its not the place for it-much better things to do than watch tv ;) the best is when there is a storm - i love the sound of rain and thunder - knocks me out =) i also have a rain sounds cd,and an ocean sounds cd,i can sleep with those - but as far as the radio etc - no way.

I need white noise. I've slept with a fan next to my bed since I was a teenager. I find it hard to sleep in hotels unless I bring a portable fan with me. In a pinch, I've turned on the bedside radio/alarm clock on AM and tuned it to static. It's an excellent ambient noise canceler.

I go to sleep in the summer with the fan on at the end of my bed, but in the winter i can sleep in silence. Either way is fine with me. sometimes i listen to the radio turned low, and sometimes i don't. Now that i have gotten a new kitty, i have been sleeping to the sound of her purring in my ear. It is relaxing.

silent.... but my head doesn't really chose places where to sleep.... i can sleep even if the whole building is in chaos, even if room mates are playing My Chemical Romance in maximum sound levels... well the good part about being a sleepy head is that i haven't actually fell asleep yet while swimming... though i did drift off once but at least my head didn't sink in the water so i didn't exactly drown...

I like the fan on for the white noise effect. Any other sound is annoying.
