Jamustrip - why did you feel the need to insult me for asking a sincere question? I'm not saying I feel it that making money is my number one goal, just that it appears to be the most important thing in life for everyone else.

Because we are the only ones that don't get american money handed to us just for showing up.
I knew a portugese family in high school where they came here, the father owned a bank and the mother was on welfare. They lived in a beautiful area in a 4 story single home and only drove brand new off the showroom floor cars.
I'm an american whose ancestors were born here and we have lived in poverty and gone hungry most of my life. My government has nothing for me while I watch OUR president send $82 BILLION dollars to the families of the people that caused 9.11
I'm currently unemployed and was turned down for unemployment compensation. Maybe that's because our american dollars are no longer in america.
The lives of foreigners are made better by MY country while I suffer you're damn right my number one goal is money.
I have every intention to mooch off the government for federal student aid to go to college and get a degree so I can get that money too. I will get something from this country because I deserve it, I was here first.

Money is the main drive in America because the more you have, it is perceived, the better off you are. Sadly look at how the Rich families get along compared to the middle class and lower class. Money can not buy happiness.

Really this is no 1 goal of almost all the world except a few contented believers. Americans are no.1 because they have more resources and more power to get it.

You watch to much tv or get consumed in materialistic conversations too much. That is not the norm in most of America.
